Stayed here in Silver Studio apartment during my one year Masters at University of Greenwich. The place is conveniently located. Sainsbury’s at the gate and a Tesco express right on the other side of the street. University of Greenwich, Greenwich Park is like a 10-12min walking distance. There is a bus stop outside the gate. I met many lovely people while staying here and liked the overall vibe, there is also a big common room where you can go and chill out if you want. They also arrange some events time to time. The people at the reception are friendly and will help you if you have any issues, when i first moved here the toilet flush wasn’t working but they fixed it instantly. All my parcels were received at the reception and were kept safe. The accommodation is safe for everyone and only people with valid IDs can walk in. There are classic flatshares available here as well. This was my first time living abroad and i felt welcomed here. Overall i had a good time.

As an international student moving to the UK alone for the first time, I honestly wasn’t expecting this. After a long journey and carrying all my luggage, I arrived hoping to finally settle into my room. Instead, I walked into a room that smelled weird, had dust and hair everywhere, dirty curtains, chipped paint on the walls, and even mould near the kitchen area. What upset me the most is that I spent my first days cleaning instead of settling in. I had to clean the room myself, including parts of the walls, because I genuinely didn’t feel comfortable living in it as it was. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable. You could literally feel the springs through the mattress, and the sink was so low that I had to bend my back every time I washed dishes. To make things worse, there was a strong smell of weed throughout the building almost all the time. Between the smell, the dirt, and being alone in a new country, I honestly cried during my first two nights there. It was not the welcome I expected at all. Student accommodation doesn’t need to be luxury, but it should at least be clean, comfortable, and properly maintained. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Everything has been perfect. I highly recommend this student residence, especially because of the people who work there. As a new student this year, they have always helped me in every way they could. They are extremely kind, approachable, and supportive. I am especially grateful to Kelly, Ricardo, and Atur for their kindness and professionalism. I am very happy with my experience here thanks to them.

I stayed at McMillan Student Village during a study period in London through an agency. The location is one of its main strengths: it’s close to the University of Greenwich, well connected by public transport (bus and DLR), and there’s a supermarket right in front of the entrance, which is very convenient for daily life. Inside the building, there is a common room, coin-operated laundry facilities, 24/7 security service, and in some blocks, a shared kitchen is also available. However, cleanliness is not the best. The room itself was okay, but even there, the initial cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. When I arrived, the toilet wasn’t flushing properly and it took a while before it started working. The carpet was full of stains... The hallways and some common areas also needed more attention and care. In summary, it’s a residence with an excellent location and useful basic services, but the management of cleanliness and maintenance really needs improvement. With a few changes, the experience could be significantly better. All in all, it was a nice experience, especially thanks to the convenience and the services offered. I recommend the residence to study abroad agencies, hopefully with improvements in cleanliness and maintenance to make the stay even more pleasant. ❤️🩹
