About this property
Brighton is the kind of city where your accommodation affects your routine more than you might expect. A shorter journey to lectures means extra sleep before morning classes, cafés become regular study spots, and the right neighbourhood saves time on everyday errands. Ravilious House Brighton puts you on Lewes Road, one of the city's busiest student areas, where buses run throughout the day, and university campuses are easy to reach.
If you're comparing Ravilious House accommodation with other properties in Brighton, you'll notice it caters to different preferences. Shared en-suite flats suit students who enjoy meeting new people, while private studios work well for anyone wanting their own kitchen and bathroom from day one.
The atmosphere at Ravilious House student accommodation Brighton feels practical rather than crowded. During the day, you'll see students heading to lectures, working in the study spaces or stopping in the common areas before evening plans.
The building includes dedicated study rooms, a cinema room, a rooftop terrace, laundry facilities and secure bike storage, so most day-to-day essentials stay under one roof. Utility bills, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are already included in the rent, which also helps keep monthly budgeting straightforward.
Address
Lewes Road, Brighton BN2 3HW, United Kingdom
Lewes Road has been one of Brighton's main student neighbourhoods for years, largely because getting around is simple. Local buses run regularly towards the University of Brighton, the University of Sussex and Brighton city centre.
Outside lectures, you'll have supermarkets, cafés, takeaways, pubs and convenience stores within a short distance. Brighton Railway Station is also nearby for weekends away or trips home, while parks around the area offer a quieter change from busy campus days.
Many Brighton properties give you a room. Ravilious House accommodation focuses just as much on the routine outside your room.
The location works well if you don't want long daily commutes. The University of Brighton can be reached in around 20 minutes on foot, while buses on Lewes Road run directly towards the University of Sussex throughout the day.
You'll also have a choice between en-suite rooms and private studios instead of settling for one layout. Shared flats suit students who enjoy cooking and spending evenings with flatmates, while studios give you complete privacy from the day you move in.
Rent already covers Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, gas, water and contents insurance, so there are no separate utility bills to organise during the tenancy.
Away from your room, the building includes a residents' gym, cinema room, rooftop terrace, study rooms and shared social spaces that students actually use throughout the year rather than only during welcome week. Secure key-fob entry, CCTV and an on-site maintenance team add another level of reassurance throughout your stay.
Every room comes fully furnished, so there's little to organise before moving in. The main decision is whether you'd rather have your own self-contained space or share a kitchen with other students.

The University of Brighton – Moulsecoomb Campus is less than a third of a mile from Ravilious House student accommodation. Many students simply walk to morning lectures instead of relying on buses or trains.
The University of Sussex is under two miles away. Regular buses along Lewes Road keep the journey short, while cycling is another popular option throughout the academic year.
Students studying at the University of Brighton – Grand Parade Campus can travel into the city centre in a few minutes by bus. The Falmer Campus is slightly further east but still straightforward to reach using the frequent services running along Lewes Road.
If you're studying music, BIMM Brighton is also within comfortable travelling distance. Students attending occasional sessions at the University of Brighton's Eastbourne or Hastings campuses should expect a longer journey, as both campuses sit outside Brighton.
Most students living at Ravilious House accommodation end up using whichever option suits the day rather than relying on one form of transport. Lewes Road stays busy from early morning until late evening, so getting across Brighton rarely becomes complicated.

We had a tour of this student accommodation with Natasha. She was extremely friendly and helpful, and the accommodation looked excellent. The rooms were quite spacious for student halls and the kitchen/living areas were large and really well equipped. The communal facilities including a roof top terrace were also excellent and everything looked clean and in good condition. Overall these halls felt good value for money.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed my time staying here. The location is very convenient, especially for getting to university and nearby shops. The rooms are well-designed and comfortable, with enough space to study and relax. The maintenance team is responsive whenever there’s an issue, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. Security also feels reliable, which is important as a student. There are a few small areas that could improve, such as 24 hours security incase we lose our keys and to prevent non residents to come in, but overall it’s a solid place to live. I’d definitely recommend it to students looking for a comfortable and safe accommodation.

Been living here since September 2025, and have enjoyed the proximity to uni, gym, public transport, supermarkets and also a variety of fast food spots - all within a 10-min walking radius. The building has a rec room with a pool table, jenga and a lot of board games. Overall, a lovely stay!

The rooms are great, having stayed in one of the studios, it has been fantastic getting to learn to live independently. The kitchenette comes equipped with a hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle, with great cupboard space and a small dining table (I would recommend bringing an air fryer, there only so much you can do with a hob and microwave 🙃). The 'bedroom-y' area of the studio is also great, the desk is huge and there so much storage space and shelving - it's perfect. Any maintenance issues are handled promptly, and the staff at reception are always happy to help. The staff are lovely, and I am always greeted with a smile and a quick chat when I am heading out. The social spaces are fantastic. The basement and rooftop terrace are both great places to study. The basement has a pool table and a TV room so it's a great place to hang out with other people in the building. However, sometimes the basement tables could do with a wipe, but the spaces are otherwise cleaned regularly. The accommodation is well connected with the rest of Brighton, with bus stops just a few minutes' walk away, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the UoB campuses along Lewes Road. I've had no issues with WiFi, and any maintenance to do with it is done from about midnight onwards, which is perfect... as long as you haven't got a deadline the next day! The only minor issue is the doors - you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway
