Address:
Hollingbury House
54 Hollingdean Road
Brighton BN2 4AA
United Kingdom
The location works well for students who don't want to spend their mornings travelling across the city. Regular bus services stop just outside the accommodation, connecting you to the University of Brighton campuses, the University of Sussex, Brighton city centre and the seafront.
For everyday errands, you'll find supermarkets including Aldi and Sainsbury's nearby, while cafés, takeaways and local shops are all within walking distance. Brighton Beach and the city centre are also easy to reach whenever you need a break from campus.
Finding accommodation isn't just about the room itself. The location, running costs and day-to-day convenience usually make the biggest difference once the semester begins.
Here's why many students consider Hollingbury House Brighton.
Easy Travel to University
Most university journeys take around 10 to 15 minutes by bus, making it easy to get to lectures without planning long commutes. Bus stops close to the building also connect you with Brighton city centre, the railway station and the seafront.
Choice of Living Styles
Not everyone wants the same university experience. Some students prefer sharing a kitchen with flatmates, while others enjoy having their own cooking space.
You can choose from:
En-suite rooms with a shared kitchen
Self-contained studios
One-bedroom flats
Rooms in shared three-bedroom apartments
Bills Included
Electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi all come within your weekly rent, so you don't need to organise separate utility accounts after moving in.
Spaces Beyond Your Room
When you want a change from studying in your bedroom, there are dedicated study areas, a communal lounge, games area and an outdoor courtyard where students can spend time together between lectures.
Support Throughout Your Stay
On-site management, CCTV and 24-hour security help create a comfortable environment for students living away from home for the first time.
Hollingbury House student accommodation offers room types for different budgets and living preferences, whether you're looking for shared student living or a fully private apartment.

Study Spaces
The study lounge gives you another place to work when your room feels too distracting. It's useful for revision, coursework, or group discussions before deadlines.
Social Areas
The communal lounge and games area are where many residents spend time outside their rooms. Whether you're watching Netflix, playing Xbox or simply catching up with friends, these shared spaces make it easier to meet people in the building.
An outdoor courtyard also gives residents somewhere to sit when the weather is good.

Review and ratings
Michaela Perdios
Moving in I was sceptical because of the previous reviews I had read. They were not the best, so I was unsure what to expect. However, Hollingburry House has done a complete turnaround. Everything that went wrong last year is no longer present, and you can really see the improvement. Living here has been amazing. I have met new friends, new people, and made some of the best memories. It genuinely feels like a welcoming and supportive place to live. Bob and the rest of the Hollingburry House management team have been amazing and so incredibly kind. They are always helpful and approachable, which makes such a difference. I am really glad I chose to live here and would definitely recommend it.

Hollingbury house is a fantastic establishment, the staff are incredibly nice and will go out of their way for any of the 500+ students they have at a time (as they have done for me) the room is much bigger than the photos online show and the kitchen facilities come with everything you need and are incredibly spacious. I will forever recommend this accommodation for anyone looking to study in Brighton.
