About this property
If most of your lectures are around Falmer, staying close to campus saves more time than you might expect. An early morning class doesn't start with a crowded commute, and heading back after an evening seminar feels much easier when your accommodation is only a short walk away.
That's one of the reasons Alumno Falmer has become a popular choice for students studying in Brighton. Sitting beside Falmer Station and close to both the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton, the property gives you quick access to campus while still keeping Brighton city centre within easy reach whenever you want a change of scene.
Alumno Falmer student accommodation offers both en-suite rooms and private studios, so you can choose the setup that matches the way you like to live. Some students enjoy sharing a kitchen and getting to know flatmates, while others prefer having their own cooking space after a busy day on campus.
University accommodation becomes part of your daily routine very quickly. It isn't just where you sleep. It's where assignments get finished, where dinner happens after lectures, and where weekends usually begin before everyone heads into Brighton.
Homes for Students Alumno Falmer keeps that everyday routine simple. The rooms come fully furnished, bills are included in the rent, and Wi-Fi is already set up, so there isn't much to organise after moving in.
Outside your room, you'll find practical facilities that students actually use throughout the year, including bike storage, laundry facilities and outdoor space where you can sit between lectures or catch up with friends. Maintenance support is available on-site too, which makes dealing with everyday issues much easier.
Because Falmer Station sits only a short walk away, travelling into Brighton for shopping, restaurants or the seafront takes very little planning. At the same time, campus remains close enough that many students simply walk to class.

Ideal place to live when you’re studying full time. The location is great! Very close to the train network and Sussex university. The staff Ian and Jay are so helpful whenever I needed help or had any questions.

I am a current Master’s student at University of Sussex and living at Alumno has been so handy! It is literally a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of campus and the train station into Brighton is literally next door. The residence is usually calm and quiet apart from the occasional rowdiness when there’s a football game at the nearby Amex stadium. The room is cute and cozy, and the beds are pretty comfortable. I’d say the room and bathroom are maybe a little small but otherwise great! The kitchen is very big and spacious. I’d say the only downsides have been the cost of laundry and the lack of common room usage - people tend to stick to themselves.
Waaizh Malik
Nice rooms and friendly staff, very conveniently located between the university campuses.

Lived in a studio flat here for a year and had a fantastic experience. The management team, Ian & Ashley, are top-notch – very responsive and always ensuring residents have a pleasant stay. The location is prime, with the university, bus station, and train station all easily walkable. Highly recommend!
