I just moved in today and had a great first impression of this student accommodation. Kevin, the manager, was very welcoming and professional, which made the whole move-in process smooth and pleasant. The location is excellent, with plenty of food options, shopping, and convenient public transport nearby. The residence is mostly filled with young people, and everyone I’ve seen has been friendly and full of positive energy. I’m really looking forward to my time here and hope it will be a comfortable and enjoyable place to live.

I had to move out due to an issue with my unit’s drain system which caused my entire unit to flood almost TWO MONTHS ago. I’ve begged and begged and begged for a refund of my rent money…. and nothing…. up until today, nothing! I’ve left emails, I’ve went up to the office multiple times, and they said they’re “working on it.” I called the RTA myself to get my bond money back (management received my bond money originally and did the “deposit” for me) only for RTA to tell me that my bond isn’t even in their system. And this entire time, the management team was blaming the RTA! Not to mention that refunding my rent and carpark money has NOTHING to do with the RTA! I left emails and remarked on how disappointing their “slack” behaviour was towards this situation, only for them to say they’re “trying their best” and are “offended” I called them slack? Maybe if you don’t want me leaving blunt emails about the horrible handling of the situation, don’t be “slack” in the first place? I got an email claiming I never confirmed with them whether the money was split between my roommate and I, which is funny because I already came into the office, discussed this verbally, and SIGNED pieces of documents. Why do I need to reconfirm via email? Why is it everybody else’s BUT the business’ fault? I’m trying to be patient and to understand and appreciate the team’s “work” but it’s really hard when there is no evident work being done. No email updates regarding my rent money, no follow-ups. I always have to email them first. Please, do better! It really sucks because I have been a loyal tenant since January 2022.

I lived there for 9 months. Not a single issue. The complex constantly being kept clean. Pets control done. There is an option that you can bring in your own furniture which is very handy. Friendly and descent people living in the complex. In addition to that, Remilda is a legend. Always helpful, friendly, patient and always smiling. Thanks for the wonderful time I had in Altitude complex.

I have never posted a review or complained about a business in my entire life (it’s something I find rude to do and unnecessary) but I feel obliged to write something for anyone considering staying here. The rooms are fitted with extremely outdated and old furniture and the place is incredibly dirty and worn. If you think the price for a room is too good to be true, it certainly is. Noise is an issue, Paper thing walls I could hear conversations down the hall while I was in my room of the apartment. wasn’t a student when I stayed here but I could imagine it would be very hard to study with the loud noise and little to no working air conditioning for the hot conditions in Brisbane. To top this off they conduct room inspections and maintenance checks nearly every week so you have random people in your apartment all the time with out them seeking approval from you because it is a clause in the lease that I didn’t think it would be weekly occurrence because that would be very unusual. But all of this didn’t even come close to how poorly managed this place was. I signed a 3 month lease and told them before I signed it that I just needed a place to stay for a short period and that I will leave at the end of the three months. I even gave 3 weeks notice before the end of this time period to remind them I was leaving. I waited patiently for my bond after leaving. Two weeks after leaving, I sent them an email asking for a timeframe on when my bond might return. No reply. I continue to send them an email every 3 weeks for an update on when I might get my bond back with minimal reply. After nearly 4 months of waiting for my bond to be returned I went to the RTA to lodge an official compliant and eventually I got half my bond back. Only after they had deducted half of it for “cleaning cost” last time I checked it doesn’t cost 400 dollars to clean a single room/ensuite. To Say I’m disappointed with the experience and management of this place would be a great understatement. As I’ve said this is literally my only review/ compliant I have ever done in my life. But I felt an obligation to do it so no one goes through the same experience as me. Please consider any other accomodation other than altitude at taringa.

It’s in a great location, with easy access to everywhere I need to go on a daily basis, and it also offers excellent facilities!
