About this property

Iglu Central Park

Forget everything you think you know about student housing. Iglu Central Park Sydney isn't just a place to crash; it’s a whole mood. Nestled in the insanely cool, creatively charged Chippendale precinct, this spot is premium Sydney student living redefined. We’re talking next-level design, a killer location, and a social scene that actually slaps.

If you’re hunting for student accommodation in Chippendale that puts you right on the pulse of the city, stop scrolling. Iglu Central Park sits directly in the Central Park precinct, meaning you’re literally steps away from everything chic and convenient—from Central Park Mall (hello, Woolworths!) to the legendary Spice Alley. Need to hit the books? You’re walking distance from the biggest names in tertiary education, making those 8 AM lectures slightly less painful.

This Sydney student housing complex is built for the Gen-Z lifestyle: connected, effortless, and aesthetically pleasing. Choose from private studio apartments Sydney offers, or dive into the social hub of a multi-share apartment. Either way, your space is fully furnished, decked out with a private ensuite, and blessed with high-speed, unlimited Wi-Fi. That means your group projects, late-night streaming sessions, and video calls home are covered.

But the real flex? The all-inclusive rent. Say sayanora to fighting over utility bills and complex calculations. Your weekly rate at Iglu Central Park covers everything: electricity, water, gas, and that all-important unlimited internet. It's budgeting made easy, leaving you more time (and cash) for smashed avo and exploring Sydney. Plus, with 24/7 on-site support, secure access, and CCTV, your safety is locked in, so you can focus on the important things—like deciding which filter to use on your next study-lounge selfie. If you're looking for the best student accommodation Sydney has to offer in terms of location and convenience, Iglu Central Park is the main character.

Life at Iglu Central Park: Facilities, Socials, and Seriously Secure

If your current idea of student accommodation facilities involves a leaky tap and questionable communal chairs, prepare to be shocked. Life at Iglu Central Park is designed to eliminate the struggle and maximise the vibe.

The Facilities That Just Get It: You don't need to drop a bank on a gym membership because this place has an on-site, fully-equipped gym. Get your pump on whenever the mood strikes—no excuses. When it’s time to grind, ditch the noisy coffee shop and head to the dedicated study zones, collaborative workspaces, or the quiet study rooms. For downtime, the communal lounge is the main hangout, complete with a large-screen TV and games area. Yes, there's a cinema. Yes, you should host a movie marathon. The outdoor terrace and BBQ area are perfect for those chill Aussie evenings, and because laundry is a necessary evil, the on-site facilities mean no more coin-scrambling chaos. Oh, and here’s the kicker: Iglu Central Park often offers complimentary weekday breakfast and coffee. Free food? It’s a win.

The Social Scene is Unlocked: Iglu Central Park isn't just four walls; it’s a global community. The management team curates a packed schedule of fun events—think themed parties, local trips, pizza nights, and wellness workshops. It’s the easiest way to make your new squad from day one, whether they’re local Sydneysiders or international students exploring Australia for the first time. The shared kitchen and lounge in the multi-share apartments are natural melting pots, making socialising effortless and genuinely fun. It's a built-in network that turns 'moving to a new city' from terrifying to totally epic.

Safety Without the Snooze: We know safety is non-negotiable, and Iglu Central Park gets the balance right. You get 24/7 on-site staff (actual human people!), CCTV monitoring in all common areas, and secure electronic key-card access to the building and your apartment. It's the perfect sweet spot: all the security you need for peace of mind, without feeling like you’re back in high school detention. Your online shopping deliveries are also safe thanks to the parcel receipt service. Basically, you're secure, supported, and free to live your best student life.

Neighbourhood and Lifestyle near Iglu Central Park

Location, location, location. Iglu Central Park doesn't just have a great address; it is the address. You're living in Chippendale, Sydney’s ultimate cool-kid neighbourhood—a perfect blend of heritage charm and modern, architectural flair, all centred around the incredible Central Park precinct. This is the definition of prime student accommodation Sydney.

The Instant Fix: Step out and you are instantly surrounded by life. The Central Park Mall is your immediate go-to for groceries (Woolworths and an Asian supermarket), quick eats, and retail therapy. For the foodies, Spice Alley is a mere three-minute walk away, offering authentic Asian street food with zero budget-breakage. Seriously, this place is legendary. Craving coffee? Chippendale is packed with hip cafes like Bourke Street Bakery.

I’ve been living at Iglu Central Park since 2024, and over time it has genuinely become my second home. One of the best things about living here is the location — it’s only a 2-minute walk to UTS, right next to Central Park Mall where I do all my groceries, and so close to Spice Alley whenever I want a quick takeout meal with friends. Having supermarkets, restaurants, transport, and uni all within walking distance makes student life so much easier. The building itself is newly renovated, modern, and honestly feels very luxurious compared to many other student accommodations. The rooms and common spaces are always clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s a 24/7 gym, laundry facilities, study spaces, movie room, BBQ areas, and so many spaces where residents can relax or socialise. There’s free weekday breakfasts. They always make mornings better, and there are often special breakfasts too, from sushi and pizza to bakery goods and other treats throughout the semester. It’s small things like this that really make residents feel cared for and appreciated. What truly makes Iglu special though is the people. Every CSC brings their own positive energy and contributes to making the environment welcoming and supportive. Adam is always approachable and dependable, kind as always, Maggie brings such friendly and uplifting energy to the desk and amazing events, Boizen always creates a welcoming atmosphere and great advice, Molly is incredibly thoughtful and kind, always with a smile, and Cobie always makes residents feel comfortable and heard. I also want to say thank you to past CSCs Liam, Reni, and Stella for everything they contributed during their time here. Their kindness and support helped shape the warm community environment that makes Iglu feel like home. A huge thank you as well to the management team — David, Vanessa, Fran, Dean, and the entire crew — for all the work they do behind the scenes to make Iglu such an enjoyable place to live. A special thank you as well to Dean, Marko, Luke, and Richard from the maintenance team for all their hard work and dedication. They are always incredibly friendly, approachable, and quick to respond whenever help is needed, within 24 hours. Any maintenance requests are handled efficiently and professionally, which really contributes to making the building feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I’m also proud to be a Resident Leader at Iglu myself. Throughout the month, we organise events and activities for residents, creating opportunities for everyone to take a break from study and have fun together. From sports and DIY activities to cooking sessions and social events, there’s always something happening, and it’s amazing seeing the positive feedback and connections that come from these experiences. Adding on, there’s full security after hours once the staff is gone. The Resident Leaders will be on call after 10pm until the next day if anything is needed. Security will be on shift after 10pm until next morning which is amazing and secure. Security has also been one of the biggest reasons why both I and my parents have felt comfortable with me living at Iglu Central Park. The building is extremely secure, with residents using their mobile room key to access the building and facilities, meaning only residents have entry to the property. There are no random outsiders entering the space, which creates a very safe and comfortable environment for students. Iglu Central Park is more than just student accommodation, it’s genuinely a community. The people, events, facilities, and atmosphere are what make it feel like home away from home, and I’m really grateful for all the memories and friendships I’ve made here. Would choose Iglu Central Park any time of the day.

I’ve had a great experience living at Iglu Student Accommodation. The facilities are clean, modern, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive for students. A special mention goes to Maggie, who does an outstanding job. She is always friendly, approachable, and willing to help with any questions or concerns. Her professionalism and genuine care for residents make a real difference and contribute greatly to the positive community at Iglu. I would highly recommend Iglu to any student looking for a comfortable, safe, and well-managed place to live.

I’ve had a great experience living at Iglu Central Park. The CSC team — Molly, Maggie, Boizen, Cobie and Adam, along with the managers, Vanessa and Fran, are always ready to help whenever needed. The facilities team also do an amazing job maintaining the building to a high standard. There are plenty of well organised events run by the incredible Resident Leaders. My personal favourite was the trip to the Alpaca Farm! The facilities are great as well, including convenient on-site laundry, a 24/7 gym, free exercise classes, and complimentary weekday breakfasts. The location is also amazing, close to train stations, buses, and the light rail, making it super convenient to get around Sydney. There are also heaps of food spots, cafes, shops, and attractions nearby, so there’s always something to do.

I love Iglu, they provide activities outside of regular student accomodation. My absolute favourite is the Zumba class. Its amazing that its included in my rent and after Uni I can do Zumba on Tuesdays and then go back to my room! The other gym classes are great also. The breakfasts are also great we have pastry day once to twice a week. The events are also so fun and they are a great way to get out of your room an meet people.

I moved into Iglu a few months ago and have really enjoyed my experience so far. I first heard about Iglu through a friend who stayed at Iglu Redfern back in 2022, and she highly recommended it to me. As a UTS student, the location is extremely convenient — the campus is literally just a few minutes away from home, which makes daily student life much easier. The building also has a lot of great facilities, and overall it has been a very comfortable place to live. I also want to mention Adam from the customer service team. I have seen him around quite often and have had many small chats with him. He is always friendly and welcoming, and once told me to keep a curious mind, try everything, and experience everything. I really liked that advice, and it made my time at Iglu feel even more positive and meaningful. One small suggestion would be to provide more breakfast options. The current options are still good, but they feel quite Western-style, and as an Asian student, I am still not fully used to having bread in the morning. Overall, I have had a really positive experience living at Iglu and would recommend it to other students looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay.
