⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very disappointing experience at this shared accommodation. While tenants are expected to clean shared facilities themselves, don’t expect your fellow flatmates to maintain basic hygiene in the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, or corridor. You will be completely on your own. I constantly had to flush and clean up someone else’s mess just to be able to use the facilities comfortably. Reporting these issues to the property manager (Oliver) was like talking to a wall. There was zero concern for the health impact this situation had on me, and no action was taken against the individuals responsible. It felt like complaints were simply ignored. I strongly advise anyone considering this property to think twice. Do proper research and look for accommodation with proper housekeeping standards and good transport links. There are better-managed properties available in the city centre with frequent bus facilities and much higher living standards. Update: Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify a few points regarding the cleanliness concerns I raised. From my experience living here, “spotless” is unfortunately more of a luxury in this accommodation. The communal areas appear clean during inspections largely because I personally clean them before they take place. I have repeatedly cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms, and toilets myself. In addition, there is another flatmate who regularly cleans the floors and takes out the bins. On several occasions I have even bleach-washed the toilets and flushed waste that other residents left behind. So when the inspection reports say the flat “passed,” it does not necessarily reflect the general day-to-day condition of the communal areas, it reflects the effort that a few of us have made to keep the space usable for everyone. What concerns me more is the tone of your reply. It gives the impression that the intention is to close the matter rather than address the ongoing issue with the specific flat mates who repeatedly leave the shared spaces in an unacceptable condition. It has now been three months since I first raised these complaints after failed attempts to make flat mates share the responsibilities. After multiple back-and-forth emails, only a formal warning was issued, and that too appeared to be more of a formality than a meaningful action. My intention in raising this issue was not to demand housekeeping services solely, but to seek support from management in ensuring that all residents respect the shared living environment. At present, it feels as though the responsibility has been left entirely to those of us who are already making the effort to maintain basic hygiene. For transparency, I am keeping records of the conditions and the communication regarding this matter. Anyone who reads my review will be able to see how concerns raised by residents are handled. I hope the management team will reconsider how these situations are addressed and take more effective steps to ensure that all residents uphold their responsibilities in shared spaces. Thanks.
