One of the best student accommodations in Newcastle. Great amenities in the room for such a reasonable price. It’s located in the perfect place, close to the university, especially the business school and just 10 mins away from the main campus. Closer to china town and city centre. I’ve spent my entire uni life living in Wellington. Their studio flats are really spacious and one of the best in Newcastle for such a price. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Quick response to emails, and maintenance request. Bin store, laundry room, everything is very well planned and is easy accessible from rooms. Their common rooms are spacious, and perfect for game nights, hangouts or birthdays. They have some fun activities often and freebies at the receptions. I had a lovely time spending three years there.

Using the online app, it is easy to report any maintenance issues, and they get sorted extremely quickly. The front desk is always open to ask questions and offer help and advice. The site is always very clean. The rooms are well sized and have great bathroom and storage facilities. Kitchens are of great size with lots of cabinets between flatmates.

For people looking at this accom next year, these are the pros and cons. I’m sorry to whoever from the company responds to the reviews, I know the cons are a bit nit picky but they’re things I would’ve liked to know prior to moving in. Pros . Location is very good, 10 minute walk to clubs and about 15 to maintain campus . Tesco Express just round the corner . Pretty social, I know people do use the social areas and threw open flat pres in freshers . WiFi works well . Maintenance is good, if it’s broke they will come in and fix it promptly and you can request this in an app. . Front desk is really friendly and sort through parcels quickly, plus it’s nice not having to be home when things are due to be delivered. Cons . Noise, there is a huge construction project going on right next to it and the noise of beeping and tractors driving around in the morning is incessant. The noise from the stadium can also be a bit much. . Property management will often be asking to gain access to your room but won’t give a specific day for the 24 hour notice and will just show up within a 3 week period. . Fire alarm testing is also incessant, there was a week where they tested it multiple times each day. . The positioning of some of the blocks isn’t ideal. Block D is situated right next to a food bank for the homeless, which as it’s not a residential area can make the street feel a little more sketchy. Also a lot of the rooms get no direct sunlight as so many blocks of student accommodation are crammed in so close.

Detailed review incoming. Currently staying here 2024-25, Premium en-suite 2 room block C. There is definitely a bug issue, we are able to fend them off by keeping the kitchen floor and surfaces very clean and it's been ok for a while, but it's hard to make other people be clean in a student flat. The windows and doors let most of the sound from the hallways and courtyard in unfortunately. The heating is warm enough. Lighting is good but you will want a couple of lamps if you don't was a headache. Most people study business type subjects because of it's location. The nearest shop is the Tesco express, which gets quite busy. There is a homeless shelter or something down the road and it draws a lot of people who need it to the area and it isn't really a residential area so the vibes are a bit off at night. The walk to the main bit of newcastle uni or the gym is nice because you can go through Leazes park. The reception staff are lovely. They host events in the common room every few weeks, but they're not that well attended, probably because there are no drinks. I had to clean my whole room when I arrived because it wasn't done to a high standard. The laundry is overpriced and dryers aren't worth it. The rooms are a decent size and modern, some people dislike the brat green accents. You could probably get better value for money elsewhere unless you are doing business. Although some people feel a bit trapped if they never leave the 3 minute radius of uni and home and the tescos... The desks are nice and big. I cannot see the sky from my bedroom window though, my friend called it 'urban hell'. The lifts haven't broken yet which is good. Sometimes the keys feel a bit dodge, I wish there was a bolt or something on the door. The maintenance people seem nice and have been really quick and professional, I would just like to be in control of when anyone can access my room when I'm there. The hob is electric and it's a fan oven. The kitchen has a wooden floor but the rooms have a thin scratchy carpet, I would get a rug if you have sensory issues. Showers are pretty nice tbf. I don't like the taste of the tap water personally, not sure if there's anything wrong with it, but it kinda smells and makes me feel sick. I don't know anyone else who has had this issue yet, so maybe it's just because I'm not local. The windows make creaky noises when it rains and the bathroom makes noises when other people use theirs.

DO NOT BOOK HERE !!!! If you value your sanity and cleanliness then DO NOT COME HERE! It’s been a month since I stayed here and I am in Block D which is all studios , it’s all never-ending issues! I am waiting for the day my contract with them ends ! Firstly when I checked in , I found 2 beds in my room even though I booked just for myself and I was told that this is ‘my luck’ even though I booked 10 months in advance! It was the only studio in the whole block with 2 beds and I had no idea about that ! I then had a sink problem where water was dripping out from the pipes into the cupboard and the floor every time I used it, it took them 5 visits and 2 weeks to fix it. The big issue is the presence of bugs and silverfish in my room , they are on the sofa , on the floor and on my desk ! I sent them an email and they said pest control solved the issue , it been one month and I have not been finding any solution! You need to triple check before sitting down anywhere in your own room. They are spiders on the exit points and in the building on heaters , doors and walls but the answer is ‘it’s the weather that’s too hot so they appear because of that ‘ !! Ever since I have arrived there is only one lift working which is not enough for students (and the working lift sometimes stops working and you need to go up 100+ stairs to get to your own room)and absolutely no staff or security in block D reception. A large sum of money payed here has cost me my peace and sanity , if you want a sense of peace and living care-free in your OWN room/studio without the fear of silverfish or bugs , then please at all costs do not stay here ! (Shoutout to Eve from reception , she was very helpful and tried to help) (P.S I could not photograph the larger and quicker silverfish but here is just some examples of the smaller ones I find on a daily basis) (I am adding photos and evidences as I find them , the 3 photos below have been some examples encountered from my first month of being here ) (PS. after 2 pest rounds still appearing , it’s November 2023 and photo no.4 is the one I found )
