About this property
Plenty of student accommodation Exeter promises a good location, but what really matters is how your day actually works. Can you get to campus without rushing? Is it easy to pick up groceries on the way home? Can you walk into the city when you want a break from studying? Renslade House Exeter ticks those boxes, which explains why it stays popular with students looking for their own space in the city.
Renslade House student accommodation offers fully furnished private studios, so you don't need to share your kitchen or bathroom. At the same time, you'll still have shared spaces whenever you feel like meeting people. The property suits first-year students settling into Exeter, postgraduates who prefer a quieter setup, and international students looking for a straightforward move-in experience.
The biggest attraction at Exeter Renslade House is its studio-only layout. Every room is self-contained, so you can cook when you want, study without interruptions and keep your own routine. That extra privacy is something many students start to appreciate once assignments and exam season arrive.
Outside your room, there are dedicated places to study, relax or spend time with other residents. Instead of travelling across the city for everything, many of the facilities you use during the week are already inside the building.

This place is very good for student. Staffs are so nice and very helpful. The location is perfect, not too far from university but also very close to convenient store (m&s , boots, costa , burger king)

My time at Renslade House this year has been nothing but great. It goes beyond the accommodation itself but the amenities too like the cinema room the gym and the lounge where you can have a bigger space to eat with others. There are two spacious study rooms where you can book one for yourself and others. And most importantly the events held at the accommodation. The team at Renslade House go out of their way to make everyone feel at home which can especially be helpful for people coming from far away. Any issues or worries you have they are always there to support and assist you in any way. If you’re thinking of wanting to live in a studio I would highly suggest Renslade House. You’ve got several grocery stores just a 5 minute walk away. There’s a Domino’s and a Burger King as well if you’re feeling like a takeaway. I hope your stay here is as enjoyable as mine has been.

Very disappointing experience with staff during check-in and check-out. On the first day of checking into the accommodation during arrivals week, there was a clear lack of flexibility and consideration from the team. My arrival pass stated I could arrive before 18:00, however the team said that the office would close at 17:30 instead. As I was unable to arrive by that time due to poor traffic, I was told my options were either staying in the attached hotel for 3 nights (as it was a Friday and the office would not repoen until Monday) or arrange for someone local to pick up the keys on my behalf. The lack of support or understanding from the staff made for a very poor start to my stay at Renslade. The check-out process was equally frustrating. Communication from the team was poor regarding check-out, and on the day of the check-out inspection, I waited over an hour after my agreed timeslot for the inspection, despite going down to reception multiple times and even phoning them. When the staff finally arrived to conduct the inspection, there was no acknowledgement or apology at all for the delay, despite having wasted an hour and a half of my time. As a paying customer, this is unacceptable. The accommodation itself is well located with good facilities. However, there were noticeable issues with my room, including very shoddy paint jobs. Although these were reported and logged by staff (half a year ago), no action was taken during my stay. Overall, while the accommodation has potential, the experience was let down by poor communication and a lack of professionalism from staff.

I have been living at Renslade House in Exeter for two years, and my experience has been consistently positive. The accommodation is very clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to live. The staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. They are always ready to assist with any questions or issues. One of the highlights is the view, especially the rooms facing the River Exe, with beautiful riverside scenery that creates a relaxing atmosphere, and the price is very reasonable, offering great value for money overall.

Common questions
Deposits vary by property and your deposit is placed into a deposit protection scheme, where it is held safely throughout the academic year and will be returned to you at the end of your contract subject to the contract terms. The deposit you pay when making the application cannot be used towards a rent instalment as this is secured with a deposit protection scheme for the duration of your tenancy.
Our full termination policy is within your online account. You can cancel your tenancy agreement for up to 7 days after the date of your booking (the Initial Cancellation Period). We will refund the full security deposit. Please note, £20 will be deducted from the refunded amount to cover any international bank charges for deposit refunds made to non-UK banks. If you wish to cancel your tenancy agreement after the initial cancellation period or after your tenancy has started, you will be responsible for paying the rent and any applicable fees for the full tenancy period. However, if you find a replacement tenant who is approved by the landlord and has paid both the deposit and rent, your liability will be limited to the time until the replacement tenant takes over payment. The tenancy termination will only be confirmed once the replacement tenant has completed these payments. If a replacement tenant is found, there will be a £50 fee for updating the contract, which you’ll need to pay within 14 days or it will be taken from your deposit. Once the new tenancy begins, the landlord will release you from your tenancy agreement.
Prestige Student Living do not charge a booking fee. When you accept your room offer, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit to secure your room which is secured with a deposit protection service and refunded at the end of your tenancy.
