Overall, our stay was extremely disappointing. To begin with, the information provided on Booking is misleading. The listing clearly states that the accommodation includes a private kitchen, when in reality the kitchen is shared with other guests. The luggage storage service is also poorly managed. It is located in a separate building, accessible to all guests, with no supervision or security measures in place. Guests are expected to leave and collect their own luggage without any assistance or oversight from the staff. Cleanliness was unacceptable throughout the property. Both the room and the common areas were dirty. The bathroom had visible mould, while the floors contained food debris, hair, and accumulated dirt. The shared kitchen was in an appalling condition. Cutlery and cooking utensils were left dirty inside the dishwasher, food was left rotting on the countertops, flies were hovering around the rubbish bins, and both the refrigerator and cupboards were covered with grease and food residue. The room itself was very small, and the 135 cm double bed was not comfortable for two adults. It was also excessively hot, as there was no air conditioning and the windows could not be opened properly. Furthermore, we were assigned a ground-floor room located next to a walkway leading to the other buildings, resulting in constant foot traffic and virtually no privacy. Throughout our stay, the staff failed to provide any meaningful solution to the issues we reported, apart from simply turning on the dishwasher. In addition, the property ignored the complaint we submitted through Booking, and we received neither a satisfactory response nor any form of compensation. If you are looking for accommodation that is clean and comfortable avoid this place.

Highfield House left a very positive impression. The accommodation is comfortable, clean, and convenient for both short and longer stays. The area is quiet, and the location is very practical for getting around the city. There is a tram stop nearby, making it easy and convenient to reach the city centre. The railway station is also within about a 30-minute walk, which is a great advantage for travellers. Official check-in time was at 3:00 PM, but we arrived before 2:00 PM and were kindly allowed to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after travelling. Overall, it is a great place to stay with good transport connections and friendly service.

The bed was so hard I might as well have just slept on the floor somewhere and saved money, woke up aching every day. There are also tons of annoying people yelling and talking loudly outside at ungodly hours of the night and they don’t let you sleep even with the window closed. The sink water wouldn’t drain quickly and would fill up the sink very quickly which meant you couldn’t have the water running for too long.

Pretty good place to stay - very quiet and comfy! The only thing that bothered is that we couldn’t check-in a little bit earlier than 3 PM. I wish there was an option for that because the check out is at 10 AM.. Also enjoyed the window view

This student accommodation is terrific! Throughout my stay I was so impressed by the facilities which are all very modern and up to date. From the fully features rooms and kitchen to the smart washing machines which notify you when they're done along with very fast Wi-Fi it was all so convenient and thought out. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all stages from my application through my departure. It is a very great location with access to the public transportation within seconds. The activities also catered well to the residents and helped me make friends throughout my stay. I highly recommend Highfield House to anyone studying in the area.
