This has honestly been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I paid around €400 for three nights, approximately €133 per night, and I genuinely feel like it was not worth the money at all. For three nights I could barely sleep because the rooms are grouped by buildings and the entrance door to the different rooms makes a lot of noise every time someone comes in or out. People were constantly entering and leaving, and the noise was extremely disturbing. The walls are also very thin, so I could hear both of my neighbours very clearly. On top of that, the room was not properly clean when I arrived. The bin/bag area looked dirty, and some basic amenities were missing. For example, there was no hairdryer in the room, so I had to go to reception to ask for one, only to be told that none were available because they were all being used. For this price, I would expect something as basic as a hairdryer to be provided or at least available. Overall, I arrived in Dublin hoping to rest, but after three nights here I feel even more exhausted than when I arrived. I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. I would not recommend this place if you need a quiet, clean and comfortable stay.

I don't have a lot of good to say about this place but I'll start with the good I do have. The ladies at the front desk were very kind. The man at the front, not so much. When I asked about air in the rooms (or the lack of air) the ladies we're very nice and offered me a fan but the guy looked at me like I was an idiot and couldn't be bothered to even respond with a smile when I said thank you as he handed me the fan. If you hate Americans, just say that. The rooftop area has a fantastic view and it's the nicest area of the hotel. Now for the bad. If you've booked a stay here, cancel it. The rooms are EXTREMELY small. Like, large closet sized small. There is no air and the sun hits directly into the rooms, basically cooking the insides of this place like an oven. My partner and I had to sit on the roof for hours waiting for the sun to go down for our room to be a tolerable temp which is surprising given it doesn't even get hot here in Ireland. I'm from Denver CO and it's HOT there but the inside of this place really does feel like an oven during the day. It almost makes you feel physically ill. Our room had sticky stains all over the walls as was stated in a previous review. The towels we were given had holes in them. The bathroom was so small you have to really think about how to maneuver around to do something as simple as dry your hair. When you flush the toilets the water literally splashes out of the toilet onto the floor or onto YOU. And just as previously stated in other reviews, the doors here are VERY loud and you will be woken at least 2 times in the night by other people allowing their doors to slam. There has to be some way to mitigate that problem considering so many people have complained about this. This is called student housing and I guess it's a hotel on the off season but I honestly couldn't imagine anyone staying here longer than the 3 days I stayed here. It's awful. I'm only giving 2 stars since the ladies up front were so nice. Other than that, it's in a cool area but I would stay anywhere else over here. I'm adding photos of the staining on the walls

I had a very pleasant stay in Stoneybatter Place and can wholeheartedly recommend the residence for any student/parent looking for accommodation in Dublin. The rooms are spacious and the common facilities are well kept. The community in the residence is kind and supportive and is a great place for fun activities and studying. I was very lucky to spend some time here! I have been to many student accommodations before and Stoneybatter Place stood out with its top-notch facilities and responsive and correct management. Thank you again for everything!

I just spent 3 nights at Stoneybatter Place and it was very pleasant. The location is very good, it's super quiet and the room was perfect. I did a (very) late check-in and the staff there was very helpful and considerate. I would recommend

Had to do our own plumbing on arrival to even use the toilet or the sink. Beds are incredibly hot, polyester sweat boxes. Doors are designed to slam as loud as possible, rendering sleeping impossible if 10 Portuguese students check-in or out, in the morning. Spend an extra bit per night and avoid this place. The staff are lovely though.
