UKO Paddington Village, sydney

I stayed at a sundeck studio at UKO Paddington Village for a year and a half from 2023 to 2024. Arriving by myself from overseas and being new to Sydney (but not Australia) and without a car, I found the location and the amenities provided to be perfect. The place was fully furnished, and until the end of 2023, clean linens were also provided. It’s close to the CBD (25 minutes on foot), next to St Vincent’s Hospital (10 minutes on foot), and 8 minutes (on foot) to the closest Woolworths. The closest bus stops that connect you to almost anywhere are on Oxford Street (less than 5 minutes on foot) and MacDonald Street (5 minutes on foot). Despite its proximity to everything, the area is very quiet and safe. Something that’s important to a sole female occupant. Having a building manager and an after hour contact within the same building also ease any concern for a new arrival. Overall, just a very nice place to stay at. Btw, I am posting this review a year and a half after leaving UKO Paddington Village as it so deserves a mention.

Fundamental things are broken in the apartments and can't be fixed. No intercom, just a hole in the wall that couldn't be fixed. Sweltering inside with broken aircon and an untreatable mould problem. Recurring problems with cockroaches and plumbing. These are cheaply made units that are not maintained - they do the absolute minimum with maintenance and you'll have to chase them over weeks, if not months, if it involves owners spending any money. At 700+ per week for a tiny studio unit, basic things should be working.

Amazing studio apartment. Great location and the property manager Silvana was always very helpful. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place near the city.

Really nice facilities, very cozy studios. Has everything you need. Lovely community. Brani the building manager is the nicest, most welcoming person I have interacted with in Australia. Even the toughest problem is solved quick and easy when he is on it. Would highly recommend especially if you are fresh off of the boat in Australia.

A really cozy nice area to stay - easy to access to transport, shops, cafes and restaurants. It is convenient as everything is furnished and prepare. Brandi as the building manager is also really kind and keen on helping different matters. Highly recommended.
