Really don’t understand the negative reviews. The hostel is great! We had a private room and bathroom. The lobby / living room area is huge, so plenty of space to sit and read a book or hang out with friends. There is a bookshelf for book swaps, a bar with amazing coffee and nice beers, a football table and some arcade games. The location is good, easy to walk to the city centre in 12 minutes. Yes it’s not the cheapest hostel, but it’s clean and comfortable. Would stay again!

Hostel G is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the city centre and the train station, making it very convenient for getting around. We stayed in a private room, which was well maintained and cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The service at reception was excellent, especially Addy, who was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

One of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Very clean, bed is comfy, there was even a small desk and chairs in our room. The bathroom is spacious and was cleaned every day. The towel was provided without me requesting. The building has all that`s needed, washing machines were always available. Even kitchen was relatively clean at all times, which is quite hard to achieve in hostels. Many microwaves. Cinema space and billiard! I could store my luggage without time restrictions. Location isn`t really in the city center, but very close. A bar inside and a few cafes nearby. Before coming, I`ve had a few questions and AI assistant helped me with finding answers. Reception guys and girls were nice and helpful. I`ve had great stay and if I`m ever back to Perth, I`m surely coming again. A couple of minuses - The bar inside could have offered something else to eat rather than just toasties. And the room could have a few coat hangers.

It was my first time staying in a hostel as a solo traveler, and I think it perfectly captured my imagination as a solo traveler staying in a hostel. The lobby is clean and comfortable, and drinking water is available, as well as laundry and kitchen facilities (kettle…rice cooker…microwave…air fryer). The staff are friendly, and you can leave your baggage right at the hostel before check-in and after check-out. Although the pricing is a bit high, the surroundings are quiet and very close to Perth Train Station. There are also several bus stops nearby, which is very convenient. I considered myself lucky enough to have great roommates who never disturbed me whenever I was in the room. Highly recommend it and will stay again if I travel to Perth next time!

⭐ 1 Star My experience at Hostel-G was extremely disappointing and stressful. I had a confirmed booking arranged through a support organisation for 2 nights, however during my stay the manager unexpectedly demanded that I leave immediately before my booking had ended. When I returned to the hostel and found my key card not working, I approached reception respectfully for assistance. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the manager spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner and stated that I was “Not Welcomed” there. I attempted to explain that the booking was valid until the following morning, but he refused to listen. There was absolutely no misconduct, disturbance, or wrongdoing from my side during my stay. Despite this, I was forced to leave suddenly without proper notice during cold and rainy weather conditions, carrying all my belongings without another place immediately available. I believe all guests deserve to be treated with dignity, professionalism, and fairness. The way this situation was handled caused me significant emotional stress and physical hardship. I sincerely hope management reviews how vulnerable guests and customers are treated in the future.
