I felt that towards the end of my time there the staff were not really engaged with the living experiences. If there was an event, the staff running it would just hang out with their friends and ignore everyone else, I stayed there over a year and towards the end found out that I could collect any parcels the same day instead of the following day which was what the staff were saying, there were parties that promoted a church group which ironically went again the multicultural aspects of the building and the community (race, gender, religions), and the events felt like we were forced to do what the staff wanted without any creative freedom from other attendees. The experiences were good when I started staying there, however there was a noticeable shift in the attitudes of staff towards the end of my stay.

Some residents always make noise like party or turn on music speaker on till very late or sometimes till morning (resident handbook rules say no noise after 10pm). Made a complaint already, but nothing change. If we are lockout we need to pay $30, but they never do anything about the resident who make noise after hours.

terrible experience. the people at the reception are so unwilling to help and always always alwaysss avoiding responsibility. each person provides different information of an issue and there is no consistency whatsoever and everything becomes super stressful. i was told one thing by an individual with paying rent on a fortnightly lease and have been paying on the days i was told to pay. then was emailed to pay an extra grand for something which was never said directly to me and was not given a reason as to why i’m being charged this amount. these things should be said beforehand to give the residents time to find the finances to pay these charges. terrible planning and management. on top of the stress from university and financial difficulty as a student you are given absolutely no time to prepare for such random charges. these things should be said and information should be provided wayyyy before. i’m going off of what ur employees are saying and then proceeded to be charged for something i have no idea what for and lack of responsibility and obligation to give clear information. so many unnecessary charges and zero clear explanations. why is everybody saying something different for the same issue?? why is there zero consistency?? i recommend staying somewhere else for sure.

I stayed at this place for 1.5 years and it was the best time I spend there as I had someone to talk to if I had any issue regarding the stay. The staff there is also helpful and friendly.

The worst student accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are extremely rude, and every person at the reception gives a different answer — there is absolutely no consistency in the information they provide. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, only a fan, and they are extremely hot and poorly ventilated. I stayed in both the bunk-bed rooms and the 6-bedroom apartment, and the experience was terrible in both. The laundry only accepts cash/coins, not cards, which is completely inconvenient for students. During my stay, the fire alarm went off almost every day and we had to evacuate the building. One day it even went off twice: at 1:30am and then again at 3:30pm. And don’t forget — if a student accidentally triggers the alarm and the fire brigade shows up, the fine is AUD 2.5K (and the firefighters came every time since the station is literally next door). Also, never forget: if you originally booked, for example, one month of accommodation and later extended your stay (no matter for how long), they will suddenly deactivate your access card without any warning. They don’t notify you, they don’t email you — nothing. You just suddenly can’t enter the building anymore. This happened to me and to my flatmate. Luckily it was a weekday around 1pm, so there were people at the reception. We only managed to get inside because another student opened the glass door for us. When we complained, the staff simply said, “Give me your card, I’ll reactivate it,” with zero explanation. And don’t forget: you also have to go to reception to reactivate your Wi-Fi access manually, even if your contract has already been extended — this process is not done automatically. And let me emphasize again: the staff are extremely rude and have absolutely no willingness to help
