Living at UniLodge Flagstaff Gardens has been a really positive experience. The location is hard to beat — a short walk into the CBD, transport right at the door, and the park across the road for a break between classes. The building is clean, well maintained, and requests get handled quickly. But what stands out most is the staff, especially Jiin — he's always warm, patient and quick to help with anything I've needed, and that kind of care makes a big difference when you're a student living away from home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for student accommodation in the city.

laundromat needs redeveloping immediately. half the dryers are out of order. the other half doesn’t dry your clothes. very expensive service for your clothes to still be damp + filled with detergent. because of the in-house laundromat’s shortcomings, i started going to the laundromat nearby. last time i went i got sexually harassed by a group of men on bikes. it seems like my only choices are compromising my safety or spending $10.34 on machines that barely wash my clothes and threaten to blow up every second. other residents are really inconsiderate and leave stuff in the worst possible state they can. a study room was left covered in bleach powder after someone had a full head of foils done in there. no attempt to clean up after themselves. the kitchen is FILTHY. i’m not sure if the ovens or stoves have ever been cleaned. if you’re doing a tour of the place, don’t be fooled by the amount of tvs and free netflix/kayo/youtube premium advertised. half of the tvs are disconnected from the internet or logged out. the actual rooms are fine. not really much to say about them. staff are great. management of the shared areas/services is just kinda eh. edit: oh my god. the dishwashers in the kitchen have damp. oh my god. PLEASE invest in a deep clean.

Everything else about the building is satisfactory, but the main issue is the elevator situation. The building has 36 floors and three elevators however, only two are consistently in operation, and the third does not appear to be undergoing any visible repairs. Over the past month, there have often been only two functioning elevators, and on some occasions just one, although those issues are usually resolved within the day. This raises the question of why the third elevator has remained out of service for such an extended period. If there is a significant underlying issue, it would be reassuring to see clearer progress or communication around repairs. As it stands, wait times can regularly reach 5–10 minutes, and journeys are often prolonged due to frequent stops every few floors. While the rest of the building meets expectations, improving the reliability of the elevators would make a noticeable difference to the overall living experience.

The building is fantastic, clean, luxurious, and modern with gorgeous study spots and common areas and has all amenities and games you want as a student and a super friendly staff but, be careful from room 110 which is a Studio Queen Accessible. It's located in the first floor on a corner and is the closest room to noises, by 2-6 am after midnight, there are plenty of garbage trucks that collect garbage from the building next to the apartment and plenty of workers who keep shouting and making noises, it's a struggle to sleep. I recommend you to stay away from the first floor especially this room. I hope the management could fix this only issue for this room. Come to this building for sure but please stay away from first floor especially this room!

There is a male staff member at reception who is extremely unfriendly, inefficient, and has a bad service attitude. Furthermore, the room soundproofing is very poor, it's just the exterior decoration that looks good.
