A homeless man entered the courtyard through the broken front gate which has never been closed in my 3 months of living here, and then actually came inside the building through the broken door to the building and was standing in the hall outside my apartment threatening me with a bottle of alcohol in hand. When I went to the desk for help the poor guy there had no idea what he was doing, he said he was left alone on his first day and had no phone numbers to call for help. The "24/7 emergency" phone number they have posted was disconnected, and there is no security on site. Their "solution" to having unauthorized people in the building a couple weeks ago was to remove everybody's access to the common room for some reason. This is the only building in Dublin that I know of without any secure entryways. The actual apartment and common spaces are nice enough although I have had fire alarms wake me up at 2/3am twice in the last two weeks. Half the gym equipment is broken in the Tannery, and the New Mill gym was closed for "storage" for the first 2 months of my time here and when it opened there is still broken equipment in there. There are reception desks in Brewer's Close and the Tannery but they are empty and all admin and mail services have to go to the reception in New Mill which is a completely separate building. The mail service is often overrun and it can sometimes take them hours to find a delivery, even when it says it is ready for pickup on the Yugo app. I feel bad leaving this review because the staff are all nice and seem to be doing the best they can, but have no support. Definitely not worth the price right now, stay away if you can.

Simply avoid this place. Poor infrastructure led to 2 burst pipes in 2 different occasions, months apart. Extreme water damage, no amount of compensation (very poor compensation at that) will save you from being HIGHLY inconvenienced. The fire brigade came by and even then they couldn’t at least stop the water from flowing out the top of the building! Cramped building with not nearly enough space unless you get a studio. The design of the place is claustrophobic and not thought-out. Facilities are miniscule at best, the fridges are TINY and there are absolutely no cupboards to store ANYTHING. There’s a reason why as of Jan 2023, there are no images of the kitchen/living room area! Absolutely disappointing. If you are looking into living here, you should definitely think twice about your choice.

All the staff are really helpful and friendly. I moved to BC this month, and the reception helped me move a lot of my belongings into my studio. I moved in urgently, and everything was done in one day. The maintenance team was punctual with my repair requests when I accidentally caused an electrical issue in my studio! I highly recommend this place.

This place has quite a few problems. One plus is that the front desk people are always kind and helpful when grabbing your mail, but other than that there are several downsides to this place. 1. it is €7.50 to do a single load of laundry which is quite expensive. 2. People smoke whatever they want INSIDE the apartments which gets a little much after awhile 3. the electrical work was faulty throughout my entire apartment when I moved here, and this caused the heat to be unable to be regulated. At one point the thermostat was at 30 degrees Celsius for an entire month which was unbearable until they finally fixed it. 4. Maintenance here is inconsistent. They will not tell you when they’re coming or when they’ll be back, which is stressful when trying to plan your day. My roommates and I had several instances where maintenance would barge in, no knocking. They slam doors and are extremely loud. They also used my bathroom several times and left my room dirty while I was away for a few days which was extremely disappointing considering there is a communal bathroom in the downstairs of our building for maintenance to use. You pay all of this money to live here and you’d think it would be a little bit nicer.

I lived in BC for a year. While location and amenities (gym, study room) are great, it is very pricey. Anyone can wander in from the street (young kids on drugs, homeless people) and it did not feel safe or secure while I was there. Staff are globally unhelpful and new manager is incompetent. Maintenance service is mediocre at best. Laundry situation is appalling (changing app several times throughout the year meaning that credit is lost, if you have an issue with a machine you have to pay to get a refund). At this price point, these issues are simply unacceptable. During the summer months, rooms are let out to tourists which felt unsafe and on the lower floors, they would stare through the windows and sometimes take pictures.
