It is a fantastic place with lots of solution. Near the city center and with the main bus stops nearby. Guys at the reception were fantastic and super kind. James from reception treated us fabulously, and he is a truly serious and professional worker. If we will go back to Dublin, Yugo will be surely first option to stay!!! Thank you to all the guys of the staff. See u soon. Alessandro, Italy

Woeful experience of travelling here and staying for 3 nights with my son. The room didn't even have a toilet brush and despite being told we'd get one, after 3 days still nothing. Plenty of other things to complain about too. Very odd design choices. A bathroom with a light that only turns on automatically, no way to turn it on or off manually. A bathroom almost as large as the rest of the room. A TV that can 'connect' to the local WiFi but cannot connect to the internet. I had to use my own data and WiFi hotspot to get the TV to be able to connect to the internet. Staff argued that it was easy to setup. I do this stuff for a living and after an hour of messing around I gave up and had to resort to using my own data and burned through 50gb in 3 days as we wanted to watch the world cup matches together. In 20+ years of travelling this is the worst place I have ever stayed. For the price I expected more but they didn't even get the basics right. Absolutely avoid this place if you're travelling with a family. Oh I forgot to mention that the bedboard has a thick layer of dust I could write my name in. Absolutely disgusting.

I’m gonna be honest: I actually like my apartment and the location, but that’s literally it. Everything else about this place is a joke. It feels like it’s run by students who don’t really know what they’re doing. And don’t get me wrong — I don’t blame them personally, I blame the terrible management behind it. First of all, the laundry. It costs 7.50€ for a single load, which is already crazy, and on top of that at least one of the machines is almost always out of order. So you’re paying ridiculous prices for something that barely works. Security is another issue. One day a homeless alcoholic guy walked into one of the buildings, and the poor guy at reception had no idea what to do, so we had to call the Garda ourselves. The place is advertised as a “safe gated community”, but that’s not really true. Only blocks A, B, and E actually have a gate that closes. The main gate to the complex, including blocks C and D, is basically always open because of some “river public access” nonsense. So if the door isn’t locked, literally anyone can just walk in — like that homeless guy did. When I first moved in, the room was honestly disgusting. It was really dirty, there were stains on the chairs and furniture, and there was hair in the oven (yes, seriously). There were a lot more things wrong, but I’ll spare you the full list. They did eventually replace the dirty chairs, but it took them three months to fix basic things like a broken sink, broken window sensors (with cables literally hanging out of the window — great in a rainy country), and a broken bed lamp. Every time you ask about it, the employees say “we’ll fix it as soon as possible.” Fun fact: they won’t fix anything until you threaten to stop paying rent — then suddenly everything gets repaired the same day. And the cherry on top: the broken entry door to the building. Sometimes you come home and… surprise, the door just won’t open. So I guess you’re supposed to sleep outside? You go to reception for help and the poor guy there doesn’t know what to do, so he asks a colleague. They bring a master key… and surprise again, the door still won’t open. Their solution? Wait outside until someone leaves the building, because the door only opens from the inside. Honestly, for the price they charge, this place is a complete joke.

A homeless man entered the courtyard through the broken front gate which has never been closed in my 3 months of living here, and then actually came inside the building through the broken door to the building and was standing in the hall outside my apartment threatening me with a bottle of alcohol in hand. When I went to the desk for help the poor guy there had no idea what he was doing, he said he was left alone on his first day and had no phone numbers to call for help. The "24/7 emergency" phone number they have posted was disconnected, and there is no security on site. Their "solution" to having unauthorized people in the building a couple weeks ago was to remove everybody's access to the common room for some reason. This is the only building in Dublin that I know of without any secure entryways. The actual apartment and common spaces are nice enough although I have had fire alarms wake me up at 2/3am twice in the last two weeks. Half the gym equipment is broken in the Tannery, and the New Mill gym was closed for "storage" for the first 2 months of my time here and when it opened there is still broken equipment in there. There are reception desks in Brewer's Close and the Tannery but they are empty and all admin and mail services have to go to the reception in New Mill which is a completely separate building. The mail service is often overrun and it can sometimes take them hours to find a delivery, even when it says it is ready for pickup on the Yugo app. I feel bad leaving this review because the staff are all nice and seem to be doing the best they can, but have no support. Definitely not worth the price right now, stay away if you can.

Simply avoid this place. Poor infrastructure led to 2 burst pipes in 2 different occasions, months apart. Extreme water damage, no amount of compensation (very poor compensation at that) will save you from being HIGHLY inconvenienced. The fire brigade came by and even then they couldn’t at least stop the water from flowing out the top of the building! Cramped building with not nearly enough space unless you get a studio. The design of the place is claustrophobic and not thought-out. Facilities are miniscule at best, the fridges are TINY and there are absolutely no cupboards to store ANYTHING. There’s a reason why as of Jan 2023, there are no images of the kitchen/living room area! Absolutely disappointing. If you are looking into living here, you should definitely think twice about your choice.
