Clean room with comfy beds and decent space for a few nights. Staff were friendly. Good price for an apartment with ensuite bathroom. Minor minuses: Prone to sound pollution from neighbours. No stairs, only an elevator elevator. Overall I would recommend this easily.

It is really close to UCC main campus. The whole dormitory environment is very new. Hot water can be enjoyed at any time. The mattress is very large and soft. Sound insulation is also good.

Ashlin House Staff in Cork are friendly, supportive and helpful. Building is well maintained and centrally located to schools, stores and restaurants. I enjoy living there.

Mixed feelings regarding my stay here. The position of the accommodation is easy to reach from the center even with a brief walk, although staff was unwelcoming at check in. Don’t expect a warm welcome. The room has a decent size and was clean, but the shower has low pressure and the quality of the mattress was so poor, we could feel the springs digging in our back. We were not expecting the Ritz from a student accommodation but these are easy fixes. At check out the other member of the team was helpful (thank you!), keeping our backpacks as well till 5pm (although they were kept next to the desk for anyone to take). Surprised this has 4+ stars.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the current conditions of the accommodation where I am staying. From the very first day, I noticed that the shared kitchen was completely unequipped — there were no pots, cups, cutlery, or even dishwashing liquid. I reported this immediately and was informed that these items would be provided. However, until now, nothing has been delivered. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the shared spaces, especially the kitchens and hallways, is far below acceptable standards the ovens are completely disgusting. It is disappointing that such basic aspects are being neglected in a residence intended for long-term stays. I must also express my concern regarding the attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, they have shown very little willingness to help or address the issues reported by guests. There seems to be a general lack of attention and care in the service being provided.

We have laundry rooms in all our Nidos. You’ll have 24-hour access to washers; dryers and some sites will have ironing boards available. Prices for a wash and dry can be found in your Welcome Book which you’ll receive upon checking-in. For any other questions on laundry, speak to the team as they’ll be happy to help.
Yes, we have high speed Wi-Fi throughout each Nido so you can be connected at all times. More information on how to connect will be provided upon your arrival and this is included in your rent, so you do not need to pay for it.
Our communal spaces are residence-specific, so please check the relevant residence page on our website to see what spaces it includes. In the majority of our Nido’s you will have access to an on-site gym which is free to use, as well as comfortable social and study spaces. In some of our newer Nido’s you can also find private dining rooms that you can book out with friends for dinner parties; gaming rooms with projector screens, and lastly cinema rooms complete with plenty of comfortable seating and surround sound.
Yes, a refundable security deposit of €300 is payable. This will be refunded at the end of your stay after checking for damages.
