I had a very disappointing experience at UPC Student Accommodation. During night-time inspections and room clearing procedures, the staff’s attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. The way some situations were handled made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable as a resident. On more than one occasion, I personally felt that there was unfair and inappropriate treatment during interactions, which gave me the impression of possible discrimination based on background or ethnicity. Whether intentional or not, it created a very negative and unsafe feeling for me as a student living there. Instead of a supportive student environment, the communication style often felt aggressive and dismissive, especially during late-night management checks. I believe student accommodation should ensure respect, professionalism, and equal treatment for all residents. Unfortunately, this was not my experience here. I would not recommend living here. SB

I just have to give a huge shoutout to one of the staff members at this apartment—Trisha Paladhi. She’s absolutely amazing! She’s so warm and genuinely cares about us students, always putting our needs first. I remember this one time we went hiking together, and she made sure everything was super organized. She was constantly checking in on everyone, making sure we were safe and having a good time. It’s little things like that that made my stay at UPC so memorable. And when it came time to renew my lease, she went above and beyond to help me out, giving me really solid advice. Honestly, if you’re looking for a place to stay, I can’t recommend this apartment enough, especially because of her. She’s the best!

DO NOT LIVE HERE IT IS WORTH PAYING EXTRA TO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE since moving into this place it has been a constant pain. From my Aircon, not working since I moved in. To the place being filled with rubbish from previous residence, despite management claiming that the building has been professionally cleaned before my moving in. My Aircon has been broken for two months, despite multiple emails and maintenance requests. After seven weeks of asking for it to be fixed a contractor , fixed it, and then it stopped working mere days after. Not with standing the fact that multiple levels of the building, I live in our uninhabitable due to a water pipe. I haven’t received a response to multiple emails for over a week about my breaking of lease. Management is unprofessional and lazy. The facilities are terrible with the gym half being out of order, and the bin shoot, constantly breaking and the whole place smells like rubbish’s. When I moved into my room, which was supposed to be cleaned there was grimed all over the walls, and the kitchen was filled with rubbish, rotting, food and mould, and this has been the experience of multiple residence. my toilet was broken when I moved in and does not stop running and despite an email about it has not been fixed. Currently you have to climb five flights minimum to access elevators due to a water pipe breakage. management take weeks to respond to emails. The washing machines often take your money and do not work. I am still awaiting a response about taking the cleaning charge of my room due to it being disgusting when I moved in. on one occasion, I had paid my rent already and management sent me a late rent notice despite me emailing my receipt to them. The reception team are kind, but management seems to be entirely in a ineffective. You would think for exorbitant rent prices that everything would be taken care but it is not. see the photos for the state of the room when i moved in.

If you getting a shared apartment just don’t. It’s going to be the most disgusting living conditions you’ll see anywhere in the world. Also 65 DOLLARS when you go out to the bathroom in the middle of the night and forget your key in your room is crazy. Management is super uncoordinated, they’ll tell you to pay rent one day, and a week before they’ll send you mail threatening you that they will put a notice of breach and ruin your credit score, sometimes even if you have automatic payments set up they’ll be sending you these emails. Out of the 4 student accommodations I’ve stayed in through my uni life this was the worst of them all!

I just moved back to China from here A room for six people Someone will secretly use the drawer I put in the kitchen I had my bottle opener and scissors stolen Someone stole my cocoa powder and scattered it all over the drawer If caught by me I will definitely break that person's hand Takeout and supermarket delivery have also been stolen on the first floor My roommate never cleans the bathroom or public areas, but if you ask her, she will say she has already cleaned them Above all of these. Apartments have no responsibility or management measures
