Wellesley Apartments, auckland

I’m having a great experience here. Firstly, the staff are very kind and welcoming. As an international student, adapting to a new environment can sometimes be challenging, so I truly appreciate the support provided here. I would especially like to appreciate the night manager, Mr. Andrew Snowden, for his great efforts in making sure all students adhere to the regulations. What makes him different is that he is very approachable and easy to talk to, especially for newcomers. Many nights when I felt stressed, I would go for a walk, and whenever he saw me, he would always ask how everything was going. Whenever I shared how I felt, he would encourage me like a father away from home, reminding me that he believes in me and that I can do it. Overall, I appreciate all the staff and the wonderful programs that bring residents together, such as the pancake nights. It truly makes this place feel welcoming and supportive.

The building itself is old but has fun activities to do. Outside is a courtyard area with a volleyball court and basketball hoop. The first level has a pool table and tables to play cards at. Almost every week a different event is run where you can meet new people and eat free food. The apartments themselves are outfitted with appliances that aren't the greatest, and there is no access to the group kitchen downstairs. The kitchen in each apartment is considerably small for five people outfitted with a little fridge and limited shelving. The elevators are constantly broken and "under repair". On the upside most of the staff is fantastic and Brandyn especially has gone above and beyond helping to accommodate us.

This apartment has a beautiful environment, is very quiet, and has convenient transportation. It is close to supermarkets, banks, schools, and bus stops. The staff has a good attitude and solves problems quickly. I will recommend this apartment to others

The best place for student accommodation. I found this apartment very clean, safe and equipped with modern amenities. The staffs are very friendly and the apartment provided me a homely environment. Various events such as games, movies and parties organized within the apartment makes it a lively place to stay in student life.

Overall experience at Wellesley Apartments has been incredible. They have a beautiful building with lots of fun free activities like a movie theater, basketball net, volleyball court, and a pool table. The staff are also fantastic and super friendly. A few drawbacks include expensive laundry ($3 wash and $3 dry), Limited cooking options (only has a microwave oven and stovetop in unit) with no access to a communal kitchen, and it can be a pain to visit friends in the building after 5pm when the elevators need key card access to use.
