I lived in The Fizz Hamburg Hammerbrook for one year (from one month before the official opening until now), and overall my experience was very positive. Here is my honest feedback with both pros and cons: Pros: • The building is new, modern, and very clean. All areas are cleaned daily. • The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with private bathroom, shower, electric stove, microwave, sink, study desk, and chair. It really gives you a nice feeling of “home.” • The study area is large, quiet, and perfect for concentration. There are also two TV rooms with big screens and comfy couches, and you can even borrow a PlayStation from the reception. • Big shared kitchen on the ground floor, plus kitchens on the 6th and 7th floors. • A lovely rooftop terrace for relaxing or enjoying the sun. • Laundry and dryers are on the 1st and 3rd floors (paid service). • Location is perfect: central Hamburg, with Hammerbrook S-Bahn just 5 minutes away (S3/S5 lines), Berliner Tor about 10–15 minutes, and many bus stops nearby. Kaufland and EDEKA are only 10 minutes away, and the main station (Hauptbahnhof) is just one stop by train. • A fitness studio is opening soon inside the building, which will be a big plus. • Very transparent rental process – everything is online, safe, and easy, no risk of scams. Even with limited German, it was smooth and stress-free. • Security is excellent: cameras in all entrances and smart electronic locks for all doors. • The biggest plus for me was the management team, especially Marie and Eileen. They are not only professional but also genuinely warm and approachable people. From day one they made me feel welcome, answered every email very quickly, and always tried their best to help with any issue – no matter how small. They organize nice events that bring people together, and thanks to them the atmosphere in the building feels friendly and supportive. Both speak perfect English (as well as German), which makes life much easier for international residents. Honestly, they are the heart of The Fizz Hammerbrook. Cons: • Seagulls! In summer months, you will definitely hear them. But that’s Hamburg in general, not just The Fizz. • Electronic locks: they’re very practical (no keys needed, everything via your phone), but sometimes they can cause minor problems if your phone has issues. Personally, I never had a serious problem, but it’s something to keep in mind. • Laundry cost is a bit high (around €6.5 for one wash + dry). The machines are from Miele, very high quality but also expensive. • Rent is not cheap, but finding housing in Hamburg is extremely difficult, especially for international students without payslips or guarantors. The Fizz makes it possible to just book online and move in without all that paperwork, which is a huge relief. Overall: My year at The Fizz was full of good memories. I felt safe, supported, and comfortable here. If I had to choose again, I would definitely pick The Fizz Hammerbrook once more.

This is a very good living environment! It's very convenient to go somewhere because it is very close to the subway. The house is well-equipped inside. There are also a gym, a cinema and other facilities. Many interesting activities are held here, providing many social opportunities. The decoration is very modern and it's definitely worth staying in.

I’ve been living at the Fizz for a few months now, and I’m very happy with it. The location is great and the building is modern with nice common areas like the study room and gym. The staff is very friendly and it’s an easy, stress free place to live.

I am an international student and have been living at THE FIZZ Hamburg Hammerbrook for a little over two months now, and it already feels like a warm and welcoming home. I live in a single studio, which is modern, well‑equipped and very comfortable, giving me a quiet private space to study and relax after a long day. What I appreciate most is the international and friendly community here – the shared spaces like the common room, rooftop terrace and community kitchen make it easy to meet new people and quickly feel part of life in Hamburg.🤝 The events organized by the residence are always fun and creative, and they have really helped me learn more about German culture and connect with both local and international students. The convenient location close to public transport and the city center also makes my everyday life much easier, whether I am going to university or exploring the city.🚆 Living here gives me a strong sense of security and support, which is very important for my study abroad journey, and I truly believe that my time at THE FIZZ will become a beautiful and unforgettable part of my master’s life in Germany.💖

The building is nice and clean with good management. Things are in order but a bit expensive. I will however deduct points for the security guy there. Super rude guy with a huge main-character syndrome. Shame on fizz for having such a rude security guy
