Cosy double bedroom near Meßberg metro, hamburg

I lived at Cozy on Billhorner Kanalstraße for some time and unfortunately my experience was quite negative. The rooms are quite small, which may be fine for short stays, but it felt cramped for longer-term living. In the beginning, I did not have internet in my room for around three months, which made daily life and work difficult. I also did not feel very comfortable in the area. There was a lot of construction during my stay and at times I did not feel particularly safe around the building. There were also occasions when strangers entered the building, which added to that feeling. Cleanliness was another concern. At one point I had cockroaches in my room, which was quite unpleasant. Finally, my interactions with staff were not very positive. Communication and support could have been better. Overall, my experience did not meet my expectations, and personally I would not choose to stay here again.

Sorry, but this place is still a huge construction site. I don't just mean the building itself, but the entire surrounding area is a massive building project. When it's finally finished in a year or two, it will certainly be quite nice, but renting out apartments here now is frankly outrageous. During the viewing, I was shown a "model apartment" that you can only access via the fire escape... 😂 Furthermore, the building is right next to the railway line. "Cozy" is definitely not the word I'd use.

If I could, I'd give zero stars!!! This place advertises with promises it doesn't keep. Basically, you're paying an outrageously high rent for an "apartment" (more like a prison cell) that's only furnished for the bare minimum. The location is one of the worst things. Both the bus and train are miles away! You're practically living in a construction site that will never be finished. Infrastructure = nonexistent. Furthermore, doing laundry is virtually impossible in the provided laundry room (nothing works at all). I strongly advise against renting anything there (even for just a few months)! I'm glad I left after numerous complications and disagreements with the landlord/manager. Their communication was completely opaque and unprofessional!

High rents, poor service, bad internet reception... high levels of dust and noise pollution due to other new buildings nearby... those with a high tolerance for discomfort might find happiness here. On the plus side, there are playrooms, common areas, and washing machines available.

I'm starting my studies in Hamburg in October, so I was looking for a suitable apartment. The Cozy apartments immediately appealed to me, and after a very easy application process, I was quickly offered a viewing appointment. Although the building is still under construction, that wasn't a problem because a model apartment was already finished. The apartment's location is also fantastic, as you can reach the university and the city center in just a few minutes using public transport. I would definitely recommend Cozy!
