Moving to a new city for university involves lots of things to figure out, from finding a place to live to adjusting to a new routine. THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau offers furnished studios in Vienna’s 20th district, giving you a private space you can call home as you settle into student life. The apartment also has shared facilities including a gym, study rooms, games room and rooftop terrace.
Located in Brigittenau, the property has supermarkets, restaurants, and public transport nearby. You can pick up groceries, grab a meal outside, or head to other parts of Vienna without having to plan every little trip around your accommodation.
Your room can really make or break your student life. This is where you study for exams, relax after a long day and go when you need to get away from it. Depending on your budget and the type of space you prefer, you can choose between two furnished studio options at THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau.
Or, choose the cheaper Single Studio with your own space to study and chill out. The Single Studio Plus is a bit more expensive, but if you like its layout and features, it might be a better fit. Both choices come furnished so you have the essentials when you move in.
Here's a look at the listed monthly prices:
|
Room Type |
Monthly Price |
|
Single Studio |
€914 per month |
|
Single Studio Plus |
€950 per month |
These prices can help you plan your accommodation budget. Before making a decision, check the current rates, room sizes, and availability with the property team.
Having a comfortable room matters, but it's also useful to have places where you can study, meet other students, or simply get out of your own space for a while. THE FIZZ Brigittenau has several shared facilities for different parts of your daily routine.
When you want to get out of your studio, there are lots of choices. You can hang out with other residents in the Common Room, enjoy a movie in the Movie Theatre or challenge friends to a game. There's a Music Room too for those who are fond of music.
If you want to spend some time outdoors, the Rooftop Terrace provides a place to sit and relax. The BBQ Area can be a nice space to use for casual get-togethers, while the Community Kitchen provides another space to prepare food and share meals with other residents.
As deadlines approach, your room might get a little too distracting; you can instead use the dedicated Study Rooms. They are an alternative space to do assignments, study for exams or meet up with classmates for a group project.
It can be tough to find the right balance of lectures vs. assignments with exercise. The gym on the property is an easy place to work out without needing to travel across the city. A session can be scheduled at your convenience.
Prefer cycling around Vienna student accommodation? The property offers free bicycle storage, so you have a place to keep your bike. Parking and a garage are also listed among the available facilities.
Before you book, check which facilities are included in your stay and whether any additional charges apply. It's also worth confirming the costs of utilities and other services so you can work out your overall monthly budget.
THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau, Dresdner Str. 107, 20th district of Vienna. Brigittenau has many residential streets, local shops, supermarkets and restaurants which are handy for your daily needs.
The location also has public transport links, which can make it easier to get to university, meet friends elsewhere in the city or spend a day exploring Vienna.
Life happens and sometimes you run out of groceries or household essentials. Having supermarkets close by can save you time. In the area you will also find BILLA at Dresdner Straße 33–47 and Dresdner Straße 19, SPAR at Dresdner Straße 84, Lidl Österreich at Klosterneuburger Straße 79 and PENNY at Klosterneuburger Straße 23–27.
If you need more than your usual groceries, MILLENNIUM City at Handelskai 94–96 has a range of shops and entertainment options. You can also visit Hannovermarkt for fresh produce and local goods.
Some days you'll want to cook at home; on others, eating out is simply easier. Cafe-Restaurant Dresdnerhof at Dresdner Straße 126 is one option for a meal or a coffee break.
You could also visit Restaurant at Badeschiff on Wolfgang-Schmitz-Promenade along the Donaukanal for a meal in a different setting. For evenings out with friends, Fluc at Praterstern 5 and Flex at Augartenbrücke 1 are worth considering.
University life can get busy, and sometimes a walk or a little time outdoors is all you need to clear your head. Vienna has several parks where you can take a break from your usual routine.
Augarten, at Obere Augartenstraße 1, has open lawns and historic gardens. The Prater offers plenty of green space alongside its amusement park, so you can choose between a quiet walk and a livelier outing. Volksgarten near Heldenplatz is another option if you want to spend some time outdoors.
The on-site gym is handy for everyday workouts, but you can also look at other fitness centres in the area. These include clever fit Wien - Brigittenau at Dresdner Str. 107, Holmes Place Millennium, and Mrs. Sporty Wien-Brigittenau.
For medical care, AKH Vienna General Hospital is located at Währinger Gürtel 18–20. If you need a particular service, check its availability and plan your journey from the property.
Getting around Vienna is easier when you have a few public transport options nearby. Dresdner Straße station serves the U6 line, and there's a tram stop in the area. Wien Traisengasse S-Bahn station gives you further connections across Vienna and beyond.
You can also use Jägerstraße station on the U6 line or catch trams at Höchstädtplatz. Nearby bus stops include Dresdner Straße, Höchstädtplatz, and Lorenz-Müller-Gasse.
If you’re coming to Vienna for university, the commute between your room and campus is worth thinking about before you sign a lease. THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau is connected to the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus lines, so you can get to schools all over the city.
Students at the Dresdner Straße (University of Vienna in the 1st district) can plan their route with the help of public transport. The U6 is a line that connects to other lines, so your best bet depends on the building where you have the classes.
The same public transport network can take you to other universities and universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen or FHs). Travel times vary from campus to campus so check your usual route before selecting a room. A little planning ahead can help you determine if the location fits your schedule and daily routine.
Once you've found a room that suits your needs, the next step is to check availability and understand the booking terms. You can enquire about THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau through House of Student and compare the Single Studio with the Single Studio Plus before deciding which one you'd prefer.
The team can guide you through the enquiry and booking process. Before confirming your stay, ask about the deposit, contract length, move-in date, and any extra charges. These details will help you understand the upfront costs and plan your budget.
If you have a particular room type or move-in date in mind, it's worth enquiring early. You can then review the available options and make a decision once you have the details you need.
Still deciding where to stay in Vienna? You can compare THE FIZZ Vienna Brigittenau with THE FIZZ Wien Hauptbahnhof.
The second property is close to the main train station in Vienna, which could be just the ticket if you want to be near a major transport hub. Look at the location, room prices, facilities and trip to university for both properties. This should help you get a better idea of which one fits your routine and budget.

Sooo.. after reading a handful of reviews, i decided to leave my own. Ive been living at the fizz for over 6 months now and there are both benefits and drawbacks. First and foremost, I really recommend you to read reviews carefully before signing a contract with any student housing. I havent and was met with a bunch of surprises. LOCATION. The location of the fizz is great. The tram station is 2 minutes away; the train station is 6 minutes away; the metro station is 12 minutes away; theres a grocery store 5 minutes away; not so far are other famous stores (like Bipa Billa). To get to the city centre (Stephansplatz) its about 20-25 away (by tram, but you could use other means of transportation too). I havent encountered any weird situations where I, as a girl, would feel unsafe around the fizz. Although its not as beautiful or green as the city center, its still nice. Theres also a huge mall one train stop away (9 mins). THE FIZZ. The fizz offers you almost everything you need: vacuum cleaners, washing mashines and dryers (3 eur), mailboxes, garbage rooms, community kitchens and rooms, inner courtyard, yoga room, pool and tennis tables, a small cinema room, and etc. The staff is friendly and ready to help. PESTS. The building has a horrible HORRIBLE problem with insects, from silverfish to ants. Theyre everywhere and in every form; flying, crawling, dancing, you name it. Theyre annoying and gross and the fizz just does nothing about it. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. Throughout the six months, I have faced various technical issues in my room. You usually make an appointment, which can take up to two weeks, and its not even guaranteed that your problem will be fixed right away. +++ the room itself is nice. We have experienced almost two week wifi outage (later compensated by a red bull, a beer and some cheap face mask), unavailable washing mashines, and etc. MONEY. I have read many reviews saying the fizz is money hungry, and yes, unfortunately they are. They charge you for almost everything. In conclusion, the fizz is a good place to stay at, but i would consider cheaper options. Obviously, no place is perfect, so you be the judge :)

I moved into The FIZZ Brigittenau in October last year and overall I am satisfied with my stay here. The staff is truly wonderful – very friendly, helpful, and approachable. The location is convenient, and the building has a beautiful, modern design that makes living here feel comfortable and pleasant. I genuinely would like to continue living here. However, there are serious issues when it comes to organization and maintenance. One elevator has not been working for several months, and recently the second one broke down as well and is currently out of service. This is extremely inconvenient, especially in a large student residence. Additionally, washing machine 48796 has been broken for a very long time — when you turn it on, water literally pours out of it. If something breaks in your room, you also have to wait a very long time for repairs, even if you are paying for them yourself. I really hope these maintenance and service issues will be improved soon, because apart from that, I truly enjoy living here.

Very Supportive administrators, they can help you and explain to you what to do even in non standart situations. Sooreu, Enis and Rowan, explained really well what to do if something was going wrong, even by my fault.

I have been living at The Fizz Brigittenau in Vienna and overall it has been a really good experience. The building is modern, clean, and well organized, and the rooms are comfortable and practical for student life. I really appreciate the study areas, common kitchens, and social spaces where you can relax, meet new people, and make friends from different countries. The location is also convenient, with good public transport connections and shops nearby. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and the residence feels safe and well-managed. Of course, like any student accommodation, there are small things that could be improved, but in general I am very satisfied with my stay here. It’s a great place for students who want both independence and a nice international community.
