I had a wonderful stay at Greenstay Essen for nearly two months as part of my company’s relocation support program. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything needed for daily living, including a TV, fridge, stove, microwave, and complete kitchenware with dishes and glasses. Fresh bedding was also provided, which is extremely convenient and comforting for professionals who have just relocated to Essen for work. I would especially like to thank my contact at Greenstay Essen, Ishant Ahuja, who was exceptionally friendly, patient, and supportive throughout my stay. He helped me select a room facing the inner courtyard, which was very quiet and free from street noise. Originally, I had arranged to extend my stay for an additional two months at my own expense after the relocation program ended. However, due to an unexpected project cancellation, I had to withdraw from the extension. Greenstay handled this situation with great understanding and professionalism, reassuring me that everything would be taken care of, with no extra charges. On my check-out day, severe weather caused my train to be canceled, and I suddenly needed to stay an extra night. Ishant immediately helped arrange everything smoothly and even organized a colleague to complete the check-out process directly in my room once train services resumed. This level of care and flexibility truly left a lasting impression on me. Many thanks to Ishant Ahuja and the entire Greenstay Essen team. I highly recommend Greenstay Essen and would be very happy to stay here again in the future.

Unprofessional management and unreturned deposit – Green Stay & HousingAnywhere I stayed at Green Stay (Essen) from January 16th to March 16th. While the apartment was fine, the management and post-stay handling have been extremely disappointing. Check-out and Unkept Promises: On my departure day, I set a specific check-out time to catch my train. The landlord failed to show up on time, forcing me to remind him twice. When he finally inspected the apartment, he confirmed everything was in order and stated my deposit would be refunded once I emailed my new Berlin registration (Anmeldebestätigung). Unreturned Deposit: I officially sent the requested registration certificate via email as instructed. However, months after check-out, my security deposit has still not been returned. Despite multiple follow-up emails and a formal registered letter (Einwurf-Einschreiben), I am receiving zero responses. Maintenance & Communication: Communication throughout the stay was unreliable. When my smoke detector kept beeping continuously, no one came to fix it despite promises, forcing me to resolve it myself. Lack of Support: HousingAnywhere provided no effective help in holding the provider accountable or resolving this dispute. I strongly advise prospective tenants—especially international students and expats—to document everything and reconsider booking here if they expect a smooth deposit refund process.

I had a great time at Greenstay. I lived there for 6 months, and it truly felt like home. Arun, Ishant, and George were always friendly, helpful, and very cooperative. The studio apartments are clean, spacious, and have beautiful views. Thanks, guys, for all your support during my stay. I'll always have great memories of this place. Highly recommended!

Think twice before deciding to stay here. I was a former tenant at Greenstay Bochum and like many other tenants I havent got my deposit mony yet and I dont seem to get it any time soon. Despite my countless efforts to contact them but they just didn't care and take no concrete actions. As an honest advice do not stay here unless you'd like to throw your money away

All the positive reviews are paid. Honestly the management in Greenstay is so so disgusting and pathetic . When you call to enquire about the deposit they will ask your name and later never respond. How fraudster one could be? I mean if there was a zero rating I wish I could have given that. No update regarding the deposits and the innocence of all the tenants who left the apartment is being misused. I request if you are taking thier apartments please beware of these fraudsters as they never return your deposit.!! It’s sad that these fraudsters are doing business in a well known country like Germany I wish they never existed!!! Disgusting staffs!!
