RCS recommends Base as its preferred choice and reserves rooms for its students. It specifically features facilities useful for conservatoire students, such as soundproofed practice rooms and dance studios, alongside a gym, cinema, social spaces, and 24/7 staff. Rooms are allocated first-come, first-served.
Private Student Halls (PBSA) - City Centre: Numerous private halls are located conveniently in the city centre, particularly near RCS, Glasgow Caledonian University, and Strathclyde University. These offer en-suite rooms or studios. Examples close to RCS include halls near Cowcaddens or Buchanan Bus Station (e.g., Dobbie's Point, Buchanan View, St Mungo's). These offer maximum convenience but can be relatively expensive and sometimes noisy.

Walking: Given the city centre location, walking is a very common way for students to get around, especially if living in central accommodation.
