Room in Rue de Saint Cyr, Lyon for 75 m² with 4 bedrooms, lyon

The rooms were dirty,. Dog hair all over the couch. Very expensive parking:14 EUR for the night. The whole hotel was dirty and smelly . In front of the entrance there was a torn bag of garbage lying around.

The room was old but ok but its really far too hot. Even with a fan its impossible to sleep, there is no arco, the hotel warns there is no arco but its too hot, do not go in summer.

Room quite dark and incredibly hot in summer. Little kitchen doesn’t look clean enough to even use the fridge in and overall the room has a general “grubby” feeling as the rooms are worn out. Breakfast was some bread, croissants and jams. Hot water from machine tasted like it had come fresh from a mouldy pool. Would be a place to sleep if you don’t take breakfast and just need a (solid) bed to sleep on but the price was too high to justify returning ever again.

terrible service and communication. they didn’t give an access code to the lockbox for after hours check in. called several phone numbers with no answers. they didn’t respond via the booking platform messages. we got one person on the phone and then they hung up on us. we called again with no answer. we were faced with the prospect of having no place to sleep and stuck in the lobby for an hour when another guest arrived and opened the lock box for us. beds & sheets were poor quality and the entire floor reeked of cigarette smoke.

One of my worst hotel experiences in a long time. Reception closes at 21:00 so for us no chance to fix any of the many inconveniences in our room. Heating was broken, bathroom was a joke with no continues hot water, unclear no of beds so we were with 3 in a room thats really only for 2 people with no extra blankets available (cold and awkward). Luckily Lyon is a great city so we could be out as much as possible, but this was truly horrible. Especially considering the price was over 300 euros for 2 nights due to the light festival. I wouldn't even pay 20 for this.
