I don't usually do reviews but i decided to make an exception for this case as i lived at cardinal/nomad campus good morning cergy I for almost 2 years. Living conditions are acceptable even tho utilities such as the elevator and the laundry machines at the washbar malfunction randomly from time to time, There was one time where i called the elevator up and someone was stuck there and told me that i saved them by calling it up because they couldn't get out for a while. The public spaces such as the fun room and the music lab are nice and encourage creativity, connecting with others, and are always empty, for a reason of course. These places are often vandalized allegedly by residents and the administration does nothing about it but charge students random fees or create random curfews even if you have nothing to do with the damages i mentioned you still suffer the consequences in terms of access to those spaces. The more time you spend in these spaces the higher the chance of being charged for something completly made up by the administration which makes sense since the residency is very recent (roughly 2 years old) so rules are still flexible, blurry and are mostly there as a financial collective punishment method and a quick money grab to make the maximum amount of money out of naive students without improving the situation. You might assume that the money is used to fix the problems the residency is dealing with on a daily basis or the utilities that malfunction randomly such as the washbar or maybe cover the workout space so that it becomes accessible even on rainy days but unfortunately its not the case because that didn't seem like their top priority. Its as if the new administration is constantly looking for excuses to charge people for the simplest reasons. To put it nicely, Its far from great for an international student. Some people in the administration would use the language barrier as an opportunity to behave unprofessionally and abuse their positions of temporary power in situations such as discussing the security deposit. Which is something that you need to forget about as soon as you start living there since the administration will obviously do their best to make sure you never get a penny with their absurd self-made pricing standard for damages (250 euros to paint roughly 1/4 of an area of a blue wall). Cardinal campus might be just an establishment that abuses the lack of regulations surrounding the rent system and the inherent struggle to find a place to live in île-de-france and this is my personal experience within the residency so i wanted anyone considering good morning cergy I as a place to live to know about it.

I had a great experience at Nomad Cergy. It’s a very social residence and the shared spaces are really well designed. I highly recommend it. The team is welcoming and always helpful!!! I didn’t encounter any issues during my stay.

STAY AWAY. No one should live here. If you're considering this residence: THINK TWICE, AND READ THIS REVIEW TO THE END. Almost a year spent here, and the experience was dreadful on every level. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, whatever your situation. When it comes to living conditions, the list is long. All winter, many residents complained of flats with no heating that was never repaired. In summer, the opposite: no air conditioning in the flats — only the office floor is air-conditioned, for the staff's comfort, of course. On the 8th floor, where I lived, I spent weeks unable to sleep as soon as the heat set in. On top of that, water cuts roughly every two weeks, sometimes for whole days and at the worst hours. Cleaning of the common areas is appalling: my floor went weeks without being cleaned. Halfway through the first semester, a tick infestation even forced the closure of the library and the lounge area. The washing machines break down constantly and aren't repaired in time. And, the final insult for a residence that markets itself as international: no one at reception speaks English. But the worst comes when you leave. The move-out inventory is a genuine attempt at a scam. Mine was carried out three days after I had left and handed back the keys — without me and without a proper joint inspection (they simply collected the access card from my representative, and the agent was late on top of that). The result: I'm billed for cleaning when the flat was spotless (dated photos and videos to prove it), wall "marks" that are normal wear and tear, supposedly missing cutlery that was all there, and a cleaning kit allegedly incomplete that I had actually left complete and even upgraded (their own photo shows the equipment simply placed outside the flat). Add to that aggressive handling of payments, including a demand to pay rent that had already been paid. In short: a residence that cashes in the rent without providing the bare minimum, and tries to chip away at your security deposit when you leave. If you can, look elsewhere — and if you stay, keep ALL your evidence (photos, videos, receipts). Si aun tienes dudas, contáctame y te enseñaré pruebas al respecto.

I rarely leave reviews on Google, but I think this one might be helpful for anyone considering living in this residence. I lived there for over a year, and here is my feedback based on my personal experience. First of all, the residence is generally well-maintained. The cleaning lady does an excellent job and is remarkably kind. However, I did experience a very difficult situation. Two months after moving in, I discovered bedbugs in my apartment. I immediately contacted management, who initially told me it was my responsibility. So, I called a pest control company myself, got a quote, and requested an urgent intervention. The residence refused to use the company I had contacted and insisted on using their own, claiming they would provide a better treatment and would also check the neighboring apartments with a detection dog. The most shocking thing is that the pest control company's report mentioned a massive bedbug infestation dating back more than two months. This means the infestation predated my move into the apartment, contrary to what management claimed. As a result, I had to sleep for three days in an infested apartment before any treatment was arranged. Those three days were a complete nightmare: I barely slept and had to throw away a large portion of my clothing. Their company's quote was higher, and the promised additional services (neighbor inspection, etc.) were never actually provided. Subsequently, management repeatedly contacted me and my guarantors to obtain payment, completely ignoring the material, physical, and psychological damages I had suffered. The bedbugs were also present in the common areas, and management tried to conceal this information. Finally, a few things to know before signing: - If you forget your access card, you will be charged €10 to have your door opened. - Regarding the security deposit, expect deductions for painting and cleaning, even if you leave the apartment clean. - Access to common areas is limited. - The administrative management of this residence really needs improvement. In short, I do not recommend this residence.
