University Village - Laredo, laredo-tx

The UV is located inside the campus which helps commuting extra easier. The facilities are somewhat new. The space in the 4 bedroom complex is enough for a college student. The furniture was replaced a couple years ago, floors, walls, and appliences are all in good state. Overall this is a nice place to spend your college years away from home!

The University Village Apartments is a place to enjoy your college experience and find a place to live while in college; at an affordable price. However, while you may find the dorms affordable and that they offer free laundry there is plenty of more opportunities in laredo. During my stay we have had multiple water outages, cause renters to be without water for at least 1-2 times a month. Imagine being in the restroom and running out of water or trying to take a shower before class, and to your surprise the water suddenly shuts off. As if it could not get any worse, it does! You may come cross yourself needing to wash clothes after a hard day after work but only find that half of the washer and dryer actually work and the once that do almost always have someone clothes in them. Leaving you to wait for them to return. Which could be hours. Lastly, depending on what room you rent out you my discover that it needs some work. The “full furnished” rooms have couches that fall apart and leave a brown paint like piece all over the floor. The flooring may have holes and be lifting off from the floor and do not even try cooking without the fire alarm going off; and wake everyone up. Their fire alarm systems are directly over the stove top and alway cause it to go off. My honest recommendations are to look at other apartments and maybe find a room mate. Depending on where you look It may be a little more money or even cheaper but I promise it will be worth it. Plus it gives you a little distance away from campus and gives you some fresh air. Many offer gyms, plenty of parking, printer and study areas, and a pool.

My past three years have been incredible at the UV. The area is so convient to me and the people around are friendly. It is affordable and it comes with everything you need not to mention its on campus. Overall satisfied with the experience and enjoy to live at the village! Go Dustdevils!

The village is a great place to live when attending Tamiu. It has all the perks of living in an off campus apartment but with the the bonus of being right on campus for the same price. you will also save money on gas!

This place has been a home to me for 4 years now. I wouldn't change it for the world. The RA staff are great always there to help the residents with no matter what it may be. Maintenance works hard every day to make sure both the UV and RLC are up to tip top shape. Over all it's a great place to stay the price is right and the location is great. Dale Tamiu!
