1515 Flats, denver-co

When my company was talking about relocating me to the Denver area, I went looking at places to rent, and cirrus was hands down the best place I saw. I had the opportunity to speak with some tenants and they were all very pleased with the units and management. The amenities are not only varied, but the upkeep is very impressive. The relo fell through, but if I landed in denver this would be my first choice hands down.

I lived here for a few years and everything about this place is a nightmare. I would suggest no women or people with children move here as there is huge safety concerns. Homeless people will camp out at the exits and the moment you open the door they basically run inside the building so They can steal packages left in the lobby and also sleep inside the stairwell or other parts of the building. Adding to that safety concern is there is no cameras besides on the first floor in the lobby. The place also has a horrible trash system. Atleast once a week the trash shoot will get over filled forcing residents to leave trash just sitting in the trash room. In the summer this leads to an infestation of maggots and flies everywhere. Ever since they added the store fronts below the building there has been a power outage at least once a week sometimes leaving u without power for hours. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars worth of groceries to this. the fire alarms will go off in the middle of the night for hours with no real fire in the building but you will be forced to take your dogs out of the building as they will be shaking and terrified of the noise.the parking sucks because the gate to parking garage is always broken and left open for anyone to walk in and break into your car. On top of that there is only 40 parking spots for an 80 unit apartment building. They will tow your car without warning if you park in the “retail parking”. the one and only good thing about this property is Uri the maintenance guy is awesome. He’s on call 24/7 and gave me his personal contact for emergencies. He helped me many times and always made sure to enter my apartment with permission and was always as respectful as possible

1515 Flats was amazing! And Amy, the leasing agent, was the absolute BEST I've worked with! She was so friendly, pleasant, authentic, and genuinely caring. She knows her stuff, and went out of her way to answer all my questions, and never made me feel rushed or like I was taking too long. Thank you, Amy!!!!!!!!

Amy is the best community manager you could ask for. I was moving in from out of state and it was difficult to get in communication with anyone at other buildings. I decided to live here in part because of how responsive Amy was! Living here has been great- it’s not perfect but Amy is always communicative about the different maintenance and improvements being made around the building. Also- Uriel, the head of maintenance is on top of things! Thank you Amy and Uriel for making my stay in Denver better than the rest.

Update: (09/17/24) I have finally moved out of this place and I wanted to update my review since I’ve met some nice folks moving in on my way out and I just want to give one final word of caution. The problem here is Cardinal Group. I promise to never touch any of the properties in their portfolio. Seriously I would take my chance with (Wheelhouse, Cortland, etc).There’s been a revolving door of property managers for this building which should tell you something. Cardinal Group employees has a pattern of incompetence and downright negligence when it comes to their tenants, I would look at the reviews of their other apartments like 24Fifty and you’ll notice the same complaints. I’m sure there are exceptions and one of them is Uri, the maintenance personnel who is great. And after reading this review and reviews like it and you want to still want to move in because of the location, price, or what have you then go for it. I wish you the best of luck cause you’re going to need it. Update: This place is insufferable. The conditions have become so deplorable. We have an elevator that happens to connect to the garage that’s still not operational and just garbage everywhere as of (09/21/23). This place has absolutely no right to use the word luxury to describe itself. I’m at the mercy of my lease since they do not want to waive early move out fees so I can get the hell out of this slum. Management has the audacity to continue charging the amenity fees for what they’re providing. Perhaps, there are other apartments just as bad as this place but that doesn’t mean you have to give this place in particular your money. Update: As a result of the power outage that began Friday (8/25/23) that still ongoing as of (8/30/23), i've respectfully asked management to prorate rent and utilities for residents. We are past the "Thank you for your patience" section of this event. Some of us have experienced financial damages (loss of groceries, impact to WFH, etc) as a result of this prolonged power outage. I implore management to do right by your tenants and if you have any respect for us to provide relief as a form of recourse. I’m barely 2 months into this place and my patience has run thin so I’m about to pop off. We have had a power outage sporadically throughout the weekend trickling into the work week and i’m getting more time sensitive updates from the retail businesses under us like Duality that are heavily impacted as well. I found out that this place is managed by Cardinal Group of Mint Urban Infinity fame (I’d google that red flag) and that’s when I realized we were all in trouble but to be fair they’re currently working on a solution as they should. I’m hoping this event enlightens management to be more proactive with the contingencies and oversight of maintenance especially with what they’re charging for rent and utilities. There’s practically no leasing office presence even just for reassurance and you can’t really get ahold of anyone. This review is not ideal and won’t do much but if you see this then do yourself a favor. It’s too late for us but go save yourselves.
