Room in 5 Sq. de Transylvanie, 35200 Rennes, France, rennes

Avoid this student residence recommended by the ENS. If you want to hear lookouts shouting all night, you've come to the right place.

The residence is very well-equipped; the new apartments are bright, with a 120x200 cm bed for one person and plenty of storage. At the time, there were internet connection issues, which I hope have been resolved since. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the neighborhood is best avoided; it's a hotspot for drug trafficking and shootings. What a shame; it's better to know this before moving in.

Modern, well-equipped residence. Popular neighborhood, but nothing dangerous on a daily basis; very good value for money.

No hot water for more than 4 consecutive days, nor internet.
