I spent a year at the residence and I loved my overall experience here. The receptionists were especially welcoming, helping out whenever I needed them; the common room provided an excellent area for focus, study and was great for meeting new people from other universities; the studio I lived in came fully furnished, was of great quality and had a stunning view. The residence has a great care of attention to detail and you will see this when you come in. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in Saint Quentin en Yvelines.

Worst apartment to live. All they care for is money. If I could give -5 star, even that’d be less. Do yourself a favour, and don’t live here

This dorms are superb

Le logement est vraiment trop cher pour la superficie : 775 € pour 18 m², surtout que l’électricité n’est pas incluse. Les frais de laverie sont également un peu élevés. Malgré cela, je tiens à souligner la qualité de la gestion de la résidence. Jamila est très gentille, à l’écoute et toujours disponible pour aider et régler les petits problèmes. Elle est vraiment efficace et très agréable. Un grand merci à Jamila pour sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et son aide au quotidien ! 💜

I apologize in advance for the long message that will follow. To begin, I agree with the other comments that many things in this residence need improvement, and one of the few exceptions is Jamila at reception. Always welcoming, smiling, and attentive. She's efficient and does everything required for her position. Plus, she brings a touch of good humor and humanity. And like the other comments, I agree that the rent is too high. €752 for 18m², rounded up to €800 with electricity. For 18m². Wait, what? A residence really, really close by offers apartments of the same size for €300 less? Hmm.... More seriously, I don't mind paying high rent, as long as it delivers. The problem is that I don't really know where my money is going. Into the appliances? No, because it costs €7.50 for a full load (€4 for the washing machine + €3.50 for the dryer). (What, a residence that already offers rent €300 cheaper also offers full loads of laundry for €5 instead of €7.50? Hmmm). Is the rent perhaps going towards the building's upkeep? Nope... it's been over three months since the ashtray (I don't know if it's really an ashtray) broke, wrapped in plastic, waiting to be repaired. Also, thank you to Jamila for taking the necessary steps to secure the funds to reinvest in broken machines (yes, the infamous €7.50 machines). (I'll still mention the laundry service for sheets and towels every two weeks, thank you very much). I also saw a comment about the Wi-Fi; indeed, the opportunity to have your own ISP connection is great! It's a shame that without it, we're stuck at 6MB/s. This is very little, and for someone working in this field, it's far from ideal. Once the funds are released (of course). Finally, if you want to save money, invest in motion detectors to avoid leaving the hallway lights on ALL NIGHT. Your electricity bill and the planet will thank you. I've been quite critical because there's a lot to say, but overall, it's a good residence. The staff is very pleasant, you're exactly 1 km from a large Carrefour shopping center, and a 10-minute walk from the train station, which provides easy and regular service to Paris (via lines U to La Défense and N to Montparnasse). The equipment is a bit dated, but you're warned about that during the visit. The study room is very pleasant; I agree with a comment suggesting separating the study room and the games room. There's a small cardio room with a vending machine (the PastaBox snacks are great for a quick fix). There's a laundry service for sheets and towels every two weeks. A lake for walking nearby is great. Thanks to Jamila and her colleague at reception for being there and putting up with the residents who are sometimes a little too comfortable and think they can do whatever they want. Finally, please, at least give us some incentive to pay our rent, and invest. You don't have 50,000 residences, it's not the end of the world. Thanks :D
