DISCRIMINATION !!!! As an International Student in Lyon I applied to BellesAnnees in September and sometime in October the Gestionnaire at that time emailed me saying that they don't accept GarantVisale (a public insurance) and I will need a private insurance called GarantMe and in November, I finally got the new insurance. So, I contacted LesBellesAnnées informing them that I have the documents they asked for but during this time, there's a new Gestionnaire. First, the new Gestionnaire does not respond to my several emails and when she does, she says that I'll need 2 french guarantors which obviously wasn't possible for me since, I'm a foreigner, so I tried to clear things up with her explaining that as previously demanded, I have a GarantMe certificate. Then, this she responds saying that since I'm 26 years old, they will not accept my GarantMe certificate which they asked of me in the first place. (N'importe quoi). Furthermore, when I asked her why they didn't explain this to me earlier in September when I first applied, she lied saying that it's because they didn't see my profile which is ironic because how did they even know which documents I'll need without seeing my profile. I was a bit skeptical because I read through their website and there wasn't any condition or clause saying that they won't accept GarantMe of people who are above 25 and when I asked her to show me where this exact policy is, she conveniently said that it's their "internal" policy. In the end, she blocked my account, so I couldn't reapply for a logement. I found this to be a huge red flag because it's quite discriminatory and I haven't seen anything like this. She wasted my time and I wonder how discriminatory it'd be if I actually lived there. I write this as a warning for other students because, it's expensive and waste of time.

Not recommended , the team is unresponsive and upon arrival, we encountered issues with no water and electricity. Despite our attempts to reach out, they kept postponing their response. This lack of communication and the essential amenities made us extremely disappointed.

I loved living in these residence, a nice place to stay. Really close to everything. A big thanks to Roxanne who is always there when needed.

A huge disappointment. The apartment doesn't match the photos in the listing at all. In the pictures, the place looks warm, furnished, and full of life. In reality, the apartment is empty, cold, bland, and almost feels abandoned. The viewing was done without electricity, which obviously doesn't help in visualizing the place. One of the two bedrooms is particularly shocking: it looks more like a cell than a real bedroom. Very misleading advertising. I do not recommend it.

I'm finally getting around to writing this review after almost a year in this residence. First surprise: you pay to reserve your apartment before you can even visit it. Convenient, considering the student housing market is saturated: if you're not happy, someone else will take your place. The tone is set. I arrived in early August at an apartment that I was assured had been cleaned. I don't know what definition of "clean" is used here: marks on the walls, dust, a clogged ventilation system, dead insects, bathrooms in a deplorable state… A disgrace. At the move-in inspection, the list of things to replace was already impressive: mattress, faucet, lock, radiators, smoke detector, ventilation system… In other words, a good part of the apartment. The mattress was practically a plank of wood: I had to buy a new one at my own expense. Clearly, a decent night's sleep isn't included in the €685 monthly rent. Faucet and lock: several months' wait. The technician who came for the lock didn't actually have the right part. A remarkable level of professionalism. The smoke detector? Probably my favorite episode: NINE MONTHS for it to be installed. I suppose that in case of fire, you just had to avoid getting burned. And when it was finally installed: shoddy workmanship and visible traces of the old system. Wonderful. The ventilation never worked. Response: "Just open the windows." A particularly innovative solution for replacing a faulty ventilation system. Result: humidity, odors, and laundry that barely dries. The radiators were impossible to regulate and gave off a horrible smell. Replacement requested from the start: nine months later, only ONE of the two is changed… in the summer. Why replace both when you can wait nine months to change just one? But the real star remains the hot water: outage in January, then again from May onwards for several weeks. Impossible to shower or even wash the dishes normally. Residents keep calling, the property manager refers them back to the building, the building manager refers them back to the administration or maintenance… No one ever takes responsibility for anything. Meanwhile, the rent is collected with admirable punctuality. No refunds or compensation. I've also seen FOUR managers come and go in less than a year, which already gives you a small idea of the stability of the management. As for the advertised services: a lounge? Nowhere to be found. Student life shown in the photos? Nonexistent. A gym? Still looking. Parking? Impossible to get a space despite my numerous requests. The laundry room does exist: €3 per wash, of course. And the building is a real marvel: an oven in the summer, a thermal sieve in the winter. During heat waves, the hallways become unbreathable. I asked for the lobby windows to be opened to allow for some ventilation: a flat refusal. Add to that the power cuts, the aging equipment, the repairs that take months, the unanswered requests, the doormats thrown away by the cleaning service, and the rent increases without any visible improvement in services. In almost a year, I've never experienced a period where everything worked normally. I've never had such a disastrous rental experience. This residence unfortunately gives the impression of taking advantage of a tight student market where tenants have few alternatives. If you have another option, take it. I deeply regret the money spent here. The worst rental experience of my life, by far.
