Lille Marquillies - Private Room (2), lille

My son lived here, and unfortunately, the place was not at all as described or as we had imagined. I would not recommend it to anyone. Also, many of the positive reviews seem to have been written by people who only visited the residence rather than actually lived there.

If you are capable of filtering out the fake reviews from the real ones, you will clearly understand that 3.7 is very overrated for this "establishment". I would imagine that they will be nearer to 2 by the end of the academic year unless some major changes are made by the Sergic management. I literally do not have one good thing to say about this place. Our young adult "child" spent the first two semesters of further education in this dump. It's a miracle he/she got through the first year. Where do I start : very intermittent wi-fi, no hot water for days on end, the front gate that doesn't lock so the tramps can come in, no "big brother" most of the time ; the concept is a joke. The marketing blah-blah tries to paint a picture of your child hundreds of mile away from home, but don't worry ! the big brother will look after them. When you have to wait over 72 hours for a reply after a major incident in your appartment, this is unacceptable. When you have to sleep on another friends sofa for 3 weeks because your appartment is unlivable in and the only reply you get from Sergic is to increase your rent by 10%, this is unacceptable. Not even an apology. When you have to wait 5 months to get your deposit back with no explication, this is unacceptable. Hopefully word of mouth will be enough, but I am reassured to see so many awful reviews from April and March of this year. The fake "good" ones really stick out like a sore thumb.

We are thrilled with the accommodations at Lille Pavillion for my son, who is attending EDHEC for his term abroad. Astrid and her team at Twenty Campus were enormously helpful every step of the way as we navigated the difficult process of finding accommodation in another country. Lille Pavillion is situated next to the metro, steps away from a gym and everything else a foreign student might need to feel at home while also optimizing the French experience. Thank you, Astrid for your responsiveness, professionalism and your insight which helped us find the most perfect accommodation for our son.

Don’t write a review without actually living here.

Don't go here !
