University Edge South Bend, south-bend-in

This has not been a great experience for me living in this apartment. There is no access for any amenities, as everything is closed, like the clubhouse and pool area even in summertime, the hot tub was not available. I would rate the maintenance 1-10, as they don't take care of the parking areas by plowing snow. This is challenging for the residents to drive cars in the parking lot during wintertime. Maintenance requests not completed in a timely manner.

My experience at University Edge has been really good. The maintenance team is very responsive and helpful. A special thanks to Tony for his excellent service—he fixed things in my apartment quickly and efficiently. Really appreciate the prompt response and great work!

Special shoutout to the maintenance staff, particularly Tony. Tony is truly the best — incredibly responsive, reliable, and has helped me with maintenance countless times. Every issue is handled quickly and efficiently, and he always does an excellent job. His professionalism and dedication really stand out.

The front desk people are really very friendly and helpful. There was one time I lost my package. They help me all the way with the lockers. Also. The UE community will organize all kinds of festivals, like ice Lemon tea day, Popsicle day., Valentine’s Day, etc.. I did have a wonderful time living there. All the best to the wonderful people I met there.

I moved into University Edge / Redstone Residential student housing in March 2026 as a legally blind out-of-state Ivy Tech student. I paid over $2,100 upfront (deposit + first months’ rent) and was met with constant maintenance issues, unresponsive management, and an aggressive eviction process despite partial payments through Real Services assistance and good-faith efforts. Multiple tenants in the building reported the same problems: poor communication, unclean units upon move-in, ongoing repairs that were never completed, and what felt like predatory handling of rent and deposits. The June 2026 eviction filings affected several units at once, creating unnecessary stress for working students and young professionals who were trying to do the right thing. After fighting in court and securing alternative housing (Irish Row), I’m leaving with my belongings and my peace. This complex has significant issues that need real accountability. Prospective renters — especially students — should look elsewhere until major improvements are made in management, maintenance, and tenant treatment.✌️😚
