I am currently living here from 25’-26’ and I have enjoyed the experience here very much. The apartments are spacious and have nice, modern amenities. The community areas like the courtyard and gym are very nice as well. I unfortunately have to move out due to other housing commitments, but I have very much enjoyed living here and look forward to the few months I have left. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to any students in the Kent area.

I love that my daughter is staying here! Best option for an apartment closest to Kent State. Clean, safe, spacious and very nice staff! Only complaint is why do I have to pay the same amount in June & July when the kids are home for the summer. Should be a discount!

My experience living at University Edge was extremely frustrating and disappointing, and it honestly felt like the management cared more about collecting money than actually taking care of the people living there. From the beginning, there were constant issues with charges and payments, including money being taken that wasn’t supposed to be taken in the first place. Trying to get clear answers about these charges was nearly impossible because communication with management was slow, unhelpful, or completely ignored. On top of the financial issues, the maintenance and upkeep of the property were just as bad. There were multiple things in the apartment that needed to be fixed, but requests either took an incredibly long time to be addressed or were never resolved at all. It created an environment where residents were paying high amounts of rent but not receiving the basic level of service or maintenance that should come with it. Instead of feeling like a place where students or tenants could live comfortably, it felt like management was only focused on taking money while neglecting their responsibility to maintain the property and respond to tenant concerns. Overall, living there left the impression that resident satisfaction was not a priority, and it made the entire experience stressful and disappointing rather than a reliable place to call home.

Overall University Edge is not a bad place to live. I will say it is a little more expensive than what it should be, but it is a college apartment and that is too be expected. I lived at University Edge from August 2016 -July 2018 and will say it was a fun experience. To put it in perspective of how much the rent has gone up, when I signed my first lease it was $639 for a bedroom in a 3 person apartment and has gone up to $734 an increase of almost $1200 a year when the inflation costs and staff costs have not gone up. We did have overages on our electric bill and the office did provide proof when we requested it, so I’m not sure what other people are complaining about there. If you have cable boxes plugged in, they will use A LOT of electricity and that’s most likely why people are seeing overages. Simply unplug them and that’ll take care of the problem. Some issues I’ve had other than the price are the property sometimes will be a mess and the grass not cut as in my pictures which can get annoying sometimes. Also some of the outdoor grills are bent/broken and a mess and that was never taken care of either. My biggest issue so far I’d have to say and why I’m giving this place only two stars instead of three or four is the fact that the CA’s are writing positive reviews for this place. I only know this because I’ve seen these people down in the office saying writing reviews about how wonderful it is to live at University Edge in an attempt to bring the property’s rating up. All in all I will say the property is a decent place to live if you can afford it and are looking for a place that is cheaper then the dorms on campus or you just want an apartment you do not want to have to buy furniture for.

I have really liked living here for the past year and a half. I enjoy the spacious rooms and bathrooms. I really love that maintenance is so helpful for everyone of its tenants. I’ve made numerous work orders and they’ve always came within a day or two and fixed this things with no complaints. Especially Rob who always helps with a smile and positive attitude!
