University Apartments - Galveston, galveston-tx

Living at UAG has been an incredible experience! The apartments are well-maintained, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed to feel right at home. I stayed in a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment. I spent three years at UAG and never had any issues. The apartments are clean and well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and constantly hosts events for residents. If you are a parent looking for off-campus housing for your student, this is the place to do it. I only had one incident during my time here, and management was quick to handle it. After reading some of the reviews, I can understand some of the frustrations, but I would encourage prospective residents to take them with a grain of salt. If you follow the rules and are respectful of your neighbors, there should be no issues. Regarding concerns about security deposits, I documented every detail that was visible when I moved in. I also took good care of my apartment and submitted maintenance requests whenever something needed to be fixed. When it was time to move out, I made sure to leave the apartment in the same condition I found it. Overall, my experience at UAG was extremely positive, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed, and welcoming place to live in Galveston.

The office is the most unprofessional and the way they acting is the worse. Even though place is perfectly located next to the campus the office team would mae your stay a nightmare. They yell and scream on anyone even the parents visiting any excuse to get. It is really unpleasant atmosphere. I would say the maintenance are the nicest .

I lived there for 4 years. The only negative is because it's on Pelican Island and as a result is a little pricier and may be later to regain power or access BUT! The people there are incredible. The office staff have always been friendly and supportive and have loved on my dogs. They are definitely pet friendly. The maintenance staff is very prompt and always around on the property. The courtesy officer personally reached out to everyone with pets during the closure of the Pelican Bridge and went in to feed them all, and promptly responded to all messages. Even now, in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, everyone is on the property despite lack of power so that they can help residents. I've felt very safe in the community. They work very hard to keep the grounds safe and pleasant to be on and it is a great community if you are an A&M student or work on Pelican or Galveston. Again, the only main downsides I experienced were not the fault of the apartments but simply facts of the location and the apartments themselves did wonderful jobs to mitigate the issues.

I lived here from January 2023 to May 2024. I absolutely loved living here! The staff was wonderful and very helpful! They were quick to address any issues we had. The grounds were always kept clean. We never had any issues with bugs either. Overall, I highly recommend this place to live if you go to UTMB or A&M!

4.5/5 I lived at the University apartments for multiple years while at school. I truly enjoyed my time here and was always met with kind, welcoming, and helpful ladies in the office. There are some hiccups like WiFi disconnecting in my building & some pests over the years but I was able to always receive help with their team and management. I definitely recommend living here if you are a student at TAMUG. Close to campus & enjoyable living!
