……Updated on 2026.June…… The noise issue seems to have improved recently, and I really hope it stays this way. Because the summer vacation？ The laundry room also looks a bit cleaner than before. However, the washers and dryers still have problems from time to time. There have been several occasions where my clothes didn’t dry properly, the dryer got too hot, or some kind of residue/dirt stuck to my clothes and was really hard to remove. Hopefully the laundry machines can be improved as well. …………………Updated on Feb. 2026…………………… The buses are already running as early as 5:00 AM, even though the posted schedule indicates that the first service does not begin until 7:00 AM. It is difficult to understand why they need to be started so early and left idling there, creating unnecessary noise. More importantly, it is unclear why noisy buses must be stationed in an area where many residents need quiet rest, especially during early morning hours. If relocating the bus parking area is not feasible, then meaningful mitigation measures should be considered, such as installing proper soundproof windows or additional noise barriers for the nearby residences affected. We have already raised these concerns by email some time ago, yet there has been no effective improvement, and I am still being woken up by the noise at around 5:00 AM. …………………Updated on Jan. 2026…………………… It is difficult to believe that buses are being left running overnight near residential buildings. Even after service hours end, the engines continue idling for hours, creating constant and disruptive noise. This appears to be an ongoing issue rather than a one-time occurrence. I was tossing and turning in bed and simply couldn’t fall back asleep. Eventually, I gave up trying to sleep and had no choice but to get up and sit at my desk until 4:00 AM — which is when I finally felt compelled to write this review. Situations like this are simply not sustainable for residents and reflect a clear lack of consideration for the basic right to quiet sleep. No resident should have to deal with this. Please consider turning off the engines when buses are not in use or relocating them away from housing areas. I hope this matter will be taken seriously so residents can have a livable sleeping environment. …………………Updated on Nov. 2025…………………… “Boom!” In the darkest hour before dawn, a loud blast suddenly echoed through the quiet apartment complex, followed by a series of roaring noises. I was jolted awake, completely startled. This has happened many times — and usually on workdays! Once, I managed to catch a glimpse during the day — it was one of UV’s pickup trucks. Although I truly appreciate the shuttle service, the early-morning noise has become unbearable. I’ve reported this issue several times. The shuttle bus noise has improved slightly (though it’s still loud enough to wake people up), but the pickup trucks now seem even noisier. I also tried recording the sound, but the real noise is far worse than what the recording captures. It’s been very hard to get proper rest because of this. ……………………………………………………………………… I do appreciate that this place provides a shuttle bus, but honestly the bus service and management are very disappointing. Almost every day around 4–5 a.m., the shuttle buses start running back and forth between the buildings. Maybe they are testing the buses, but the roaring noise in the quiet of dawn is terrible—I often get woken up and can’t have a proper night’s sleep. We have already given feedback, but the staff only respond coldly and dismissively: “Buses make noise, there’s nothing we can do.” The buses they use really look like something from an old American movie—unbelievable. Sometimes the noise is less disturbing, which makes me think some drivers know how to operate more carefully. So the noise is at least partly controllable, right? I’ve also seen other reviews mention this, so it’s not just me. On top of that, the public washing machines often have dirty residues inside, and they stay there for a long time. Management does nothing about it.

It has been almost a year of me and my partner living in our apartment. We chose UV mostly due to the convenience of the shuttle bus that takes you directly onto campus. I am shocked to see so many negative reviews and I truly do believe that we got lucky with our apartment. These buildings are pretty old and if maintenance is not doing an adequate job than I do see how things can go terribly wrong. We’ve been fortunate that we have not experienced any cockroaches, leaks or poor management. I do want to highlight how we’ve made our apartment our own and that if anyone is as fortunate as us to not have too many issues, these apartments can be truly beautiful. I hate that there aren’t more pictures of how people have decorated their apartments because I think it would have been great to see as potential residents what can be done with the space. To reiterate, we could have had a terrible apartment with leaks and bugs all over the place so I don’t want to discredit the people who have not had a good living experience here so I don’t want to give anyone false hope. I hope management can turn around and help other residents fix their apartment because seeing the condition of some of these apartments is absolutely appalling.

Lived here two years. -⭐️ for maintenance, -⭐️for laundry , -⭐️ for general annoyance Maintenance: Unresponsive. Will close requests without showing up. Hard to get a hold of a real person. After-hours calls go to TEXAS. Better hope you have no serious issues. Appears to be soliciting reviews. Heat: Thermostat does nothing. Way too hot for way too long. Maintenance sends petty emails about proper heating which is just terribly ironic and yes my windows ARE open in the winter because it’s 80. Maintenance has been requested to fix it, they fiddle for two minutes and leave with no fix. I taught myself how to turn the heat on and off. Laundry: broken broken BROKEN, gross, expensive. $1.50 per load, WILL eat coins. In one unit there was only 1 working washer and in another there was only 1 working dryer. Fixes never lasted. I’ve WASTED MONEY on machines that didn’t work once started. Floors also flood which is a huge slipping hazard. Would never rent here if I didn’t directly sublease a unit with no known issues. Friend across the street had 🪳. We had one pest control entry without notice. Prepare to get spammed with transportation and renewal emails and calls. Our parking lot lines by the pool are invisible. What did I like? Being in a generally quieter location. Plenty of parking, though more car breaks-ins this year. Pet friendly, though of course $$$. This place is becoming overpriced for the condition of the units.

I did not enjoy my time at University Village. This was a last resort for me, but that’s besides the point. First, they show you apartments in the front that look NOTHING like your actual place. They said that the actual place would look better due to “renovations”, but in reality it was just a huge downgrade. Secondly, no one cleans out the air conditioning units. My first week there, my boyfriend and I got very sick due to there being literal mold in my unit. My boyfriend and I physically had to take it apart and clean it out ourselves. Having mold in your apartment is already disgusting and breathing it in is very hazardous. It should not have been my responsibility to clean that out, it should be theirs. Lastly, they did not give us a form to fill out to make sure everything in the apartment looks good and okay. When we moved in, one of the burners on the stove was disconnected and did not work. We don’t know if it was damaged or not. Of course when we moved out, WE got charged a whopping $82 for it even though the burner was already like that PRIOR to moving in. Most apartments have these forms to fill out so that you don’t get charged for what was already present. This was super frustrating and annoying. Not to mention the washing machines would constantly break down and would always eat your quarters. My roommate frequently had to wait for maintenance to come and fix it. The shuttles were ok and times, but I would not rely on it. Many times they would send emails out saying “We don’t have anyone for the evening/night and we apologize for this inconvenience.” Now I understand things happen and whatnot, but when you’re a broke college student without a car, the shuttle is all you have at times. One or two instances are fine, but when this is an ongoing issue, it can be frustrating. The place was definitely infested with spiders, I think I was killing one at least once a week!! DISGUSTING! All in all, I would not recommend staying here to anyone. The staff is super friendly and sweet, plus the gym is nice but that’s just about it. They definitely need some deep work and true remodeling. If anything stated above doesn’t bother you and you’re a college student then by all means UV is for you. If it does, then I would advising looking elsewhere for apartments.

Guys don’t come to university village unless you wanna get a mental issue. Main Problem we had: 1. Finding 5-10 cockroaches a day (it increases as time goes on) 2. Found a rat on a living room 3. Pest control don’t come. They say they would come today but they don’t. TOTAL LIE 4. 5-10 flies comes into the house a day. 5. Kill spider once a day 1 day= 10 roach, 10 flies, 1 spider No cap, no exaggeration This all happened in two month lol I have tons of pictures of cockroaches on my phone, yet we are still dealing with a serious infestation. We’ve moved twice within University Village, and both rooms were infested with roaches. The first place we stayed in literally had hundreds of roaches, so we had to move out the very next day. Pest control rarely shows up, and even when they do, they accomplish nothing that actually helps. I’ve seen them put sticky traps in a few places and then disappear for a month, as if that would solve the problem. Maintenance and pest control seem to believe this will fix things, which is funny. There’s a high chance of getting an infested room here because I have five other friends, as well as neighbors, experiencing the same issue. I’m honestly shocked there aren’t more reviews about the roaches. We’ve been living a nightmare every day. We couldn’t use our kitchen for three weeks and had to throw away over $100 worth of food. Roaches even got into our refrigerator! Finding dead roaches next to our food was absolutely DISGUSTING. It’s a complete lie when maintenance says the roaches will be gone in two weeks. We believed them, and it was a huge mistake. We are moving out of University Village soon, but I strongly urge you to avoid UV at all costs. Please, find another place to live.
