For anyone looking to live in walking distance to campus, you’d be much better off somewhere else. The facility is not kept up with at all in comparison to other complexes. The trash chutes are overflowing, the pool was green for the first month and a half after move-in, the elevators are constantly broken, and the top level of the parking garage has been roped off for months with caution tape due to an issue they have not properly informed the residents about. I and all three of my other roommates are looking to move to a different place next year! The pictures I’ve provided have been taken from my first semester here, and I’ve still got another semester to go. Visitor parking is also $3 per hour/$20 a day, so keep that in mind if you ever want any overnight guests. The actual apartments themselves aren’t terrible, but many things were broken upon move in and had to be fixed by maintenance. My roommates and I have been touring other apartment units recently for next school year, and we’ve found that you can definitely get much better for much less only a few minutes down the road! The only positives are the distance from campus and the front desk staff, who are absolutely spectacular and attentive! Unfortunately these negatives outweigh the positives, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone until these problems get resolved.

I have lived here for about a year now and I have nothing but fantastic experiences. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to move into apartments near Unc Charlotte.

I’ve been living at University Crossings while attending school, and honestly, it’s been a great experience. The location is super convenient for getting to campus, and the apartments are nice and well-kept. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the staff. The people in the office are seriously so friendly and helpful. Whether I’ve had questions about my lease, packages, or just needed help with something random, they’ve always been super chill and quick to respond. Also, the maintenance team is on it. Anytime I’ve put in a request, they’ve showed up fast and got things fixed right away. It’s nice not having to wait days for stuff to get taken care of — they actually stay on top of everything. Overall, it’s been a smooth and stress-free place to live while in school. It feels safe, it’s quiet enough to focus when I need to, but still has a good community vibe. Definitely recommend it if you’re a student looking for a solid apartment close to campus!

I've loved living at UCross! The staff is amazing. They're always so friendly and understanding. I had an issue with an incorrect roommate assignment, and Faith went out of her way to support me and resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Noah is also great, he spent an hour helping me and my roommates figure out what our next steps are and connected us with Faith. Wonderful people overall, and I highly recommend living here!

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience living at University Crossings and would not recommend them to anyone. I lived there for the 2024-2025 academic year and am no longer a resident but wanted to take the time to write a well-thought-through and reasonable review. The units are decent, but the inconsiderate, careless management overshadows any positives. While there are a few thoughtful individuals working in the leasing office, the majority are unbothered college students who couldn't care less. Maintenance entered the apartment while I was out of town without any notification for an emergency fix, which was understandable, had they not left the entire place covered in drywall, damaged my belongings, and mistakenly thrown away an item belonging to me. Even after the fact, a notification that my unit had been entered would have been nice, but I came home wondering if there had been a break-in. In the spring, American Campus Communities decided to renovate all units’ flooring and required us to move anything that touched the ground. We were given a vague range of April/May and told we would be given more specific date ranges closer to the renovations. My building’s renovations took place the week before finals, and my roommate and I were given less than a week’s notice to move all of our belongings onto the kitchen island and vacate the unit for an entire day during exams. If these renovations were not purely cosmetic and unnecessary (and planned well before residents were informed), I would have understood the need for a more urgent or safety-related renovation, but the way every interaction with management, especially this one, was handled showed a complete lack of regard for the student residents and their needs. Overall could have been worse, but if you want to be treated as anything more than a wallet, maybe choose living elsewhere.
