Big thank you to Niamh and Jamie, because they were the ones welcoming me on my first day at SPACE back in January, and I have very much enjoyed occasionally chatting with them over the past few months. Every member of staff I met was always friendly and helpful. The room is of a good size and has everything one would need. It is also convenient that laundry can be done whenever. I certainly enjoyed the daily walks; therefore, I did not deduct stars for location, but the distance into town is something one needs to be aware of when booking as a student, especially. Parcels are accepted by reception and can be picked up at a convenient time. Grocery stores (ALDI, Morrisons, M&S, and SPAR) are 15-20 minutes walking distance away. The only thing I found inconvenient was that the windows cannot be opened properly for safety reasons. However, the room ventilation above the stove is strong, so switching that one on during and after cooking will also help, in addition to the open window. It is very nice that many events are organised for SPACE residents to connect across study levels and disciplines. If you study here full-time, I think this is a very good address, as you have everything (e.g., a gym, a small convenience store, study pods, and soon a café) in one place. Overall, I am happy that I opted for SPACE for the duration of my stay in St Andrews.

5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to St Andrews center. The room is clean and spacious, smart tv as well. There is a lot of facilities on site which is great. Only one small draw back which is if you need to iron you need to go down to the laundrette which was a different building rather than the desk having some to keep in your room. Great value for money though

First impressions were great. Dropped daughter off for her year at St Andrews. The facilities are superb and the staff were very welcoming, including the socials for all newcomers. Certainly a step up from her previous studio flat accommodation. Her accommodation includes a good sized bed TV, fridge, oven/microwave, sofa, table and chairs as well as a desk and a ladder for the high storage areas. There is a free gym as well as a private gym available to students. In the social area there are dart boards, a pool table and there are outside seating around the entire accommodation and plenty of parking. There is also a cafe/restaurant bar area as well as a well stocked shop which is reasonably priced, especially for those emergency purchases. There is also a laundry area with plenty of machines. A free shuttle service for students to the different campuses which is great for those days where walking is not viable.

I used to attend St Andrews Uni, graduated a bit ago. Space accommodation is no doubt the absolute best the town has to offer. With multiple gyms, one of which 24/7, and the nicest showers I’ve seen from any private or uni accommodation. I’m sad I can’t live here since graduating, it’s better than most apartments I stayed in. Big kudos to the team working so hard to keep it as good as it is! From Niamh who does student events, to Adrien and Kelly being on top of any questions, and the near immediate response from maintenance. They’re all in on keeping Space a consistently good place to live.

The location is a tad off the main, but that means its quiet from drunken freshers and raisin chaos such as eggs thrown at you or the building, and they have a bus stop plus, Adrien told me the private shuttle is coming back which is great. Space really does blow past the other accommodations in how much the rooms feel like luxury rather than bare minimum. The fact they actually make changes for the students, rather than just paying lip service, is something you cant buy from other places. Can't recommend the place enough, the team alone makes it more than worth it. Niamh and Maya are always great help on the desk, or for good chat.
