Apartment in 50 Bd Pierre 1er, 33000 Bordeaux, France, bordeaux

We stayed for 8 days in July What I liked: The rooms were clean and had plenty of amenities someone on a longer stay would want. For example, there was a fridge and cooking equipment if you want to cook yourself, and there was also a washing machine if you need to wash your clothes. AC in the room was also excellent because it was +35...+40°C outside during our stay. The breakfast was relatively simple but very good nevertheless, and I would also highlight the good coffee beans in the breakfast coffee machine. :) The staff was also very helpful and kind. What could be improved: They didn't really stock up the toilet paper in our room (we ran out with few days left on our stay but the cleaning service only added one extra roll). But I sent a message via the app and they quickly fixed it. Same for our shower soap. The parking was a bit unclear, and eventually it seemed to be "first come first serve" basis. We didn't mind since there was only one night we had to leave the car on the street and other days we got a spot in the garage. But perhaps this could be better explained somewhere to reduce travellers' stress... It seemed to me that the place has just had a major revamp and some traces of construction were still visible, but that wasn't too bad for us. Just for the hotel maybe to check the last spots like the elevators etc.

Great stay at Babel Community! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A special mention to Antonin, who went out of his way to help me get my low car safely out of the parking garage. He took the time to guide me and was always happy to help with any questions throughout my stay. Really appreciated it! Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend.

The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfy, but the hotel is still in construction, there are noisy works going on all the time, the room service is only every 4 days, so although my booking states ‘room service included’ they would not come because my booking was for 3 days. When we arrived the toilet paper was already half gone, the fire alarm went off for no reason in the middle of the night (1:30am) and we all had to evacuate, and the ‘amazing breakfast’ is just chaotic, food runs out constantly, coffee machine out of service, no water, no plates, no fruit….they are understaffed and the staff members do what they can, but they are clearly inexperienced and drowning in issues. They can offer absolutely no food or drinks outside of breakfast (not even a vending machine). The hotel has great potential (when it is finished!) but the organisation is appalling, which ruined a bit the experience for us.

The bed makes the room for me, and this one is a solid 5 stars. Breakfast is standard. Unfortunately the baguette was warm on the outside but frozen solid on the inside - room for improvement.

Clean hotel, felt more like uni apartments. Staff was friendly when checked in. However the fire alarm going off at 11pm in a thunderstorm, staff unresponsive, lack communication with guests which led to frustration and annoyance. (Based on other reviews, this isn’t the first time) No complimentary waters in room, no hangers in bathroom, no refrigerators, a bit far out from centre, wifi no very good - however grocery store close by. Overall not a good experience.
